Charmex supplies AV equipment for the new BMW Ibérica training rooms

The project has included the provision of solutions in 12 spaces for which ten Clevertouch multi-touch panels from 84 inches, three Samsung UE55D monitors and two Christie Captiva DHD400S ultra-short throw projectors.

BMW Ibérica has just inaugurated its new rooms dedicated to training at its headquarters in Madrid. These facilities include spaces to teach courses of all types, including product, technique, mark, business, marketing, systems and skills. For BMW, The role of audiovisual tools is key to optimizing the teaching processes of your staff and enhancing interactivity in your different classrooms.

The company IC-10, specialized in the renovation and adaptation of interior spaces, was awarded the complete remodeling of all staff training and qualification facilities and chose Charmex to provide the 12 rooms with the most innovative audiovisual technology.

“This is a company with a high level of demand that had very clear ideas and was looking for the best audiovisual technology on the market., but that it will adapt to the specific needs of each of its classrooms”, Francisco Oliva, Charmex Project Consultant.

For this project, they have been installed 10 units of the Clevertouch Plus Lux model 84 inches and 4K resolution, what constitutes, according to the company, one of the largest acquisitions of this product in Spain.

The Clevertouch Plus Lux range incorporates a removable module with the Android operating system, so it can work without a computer, like a giant tablet. This way, and just as it would be done with the help of a PC, it is possible to directly select images, videos, audio and Office files for use in presentations.

“What caught our attention the most about this product was its versatility., functionality and image quality. But above all the number of touch points it can detect at the same time: 10”, comment from BMW.

These monitors allow up to 20 simultaneous touches (10 guaranteed writing) and are made with noble materials that give them great robustness, which, added to a five-year on-site warranty with re-installation included, guarantees long durability.

In addition, Clevertouch Plus Lux panels come equipped with the Clevernote app that allows you to use the monitor as a whiteboard by simply touching the surface with your finger or stylus, maintaining excellence in writing precision and speed thanks to a state-of-the-art IR touch frame.

Clevertouch monitors were installed in BMW with motorized fixed floor stands Traulux, that allow users to adjust the height, whether they are high or low, with a height variation of 500 mm, allowing full access to touch functions. They have a solid design, which make it ideal for large displays or touch monitors.

Christie projection and Samsung display

In addition to Clevertouch monitors, that were installed in 10 of the rooms, BMW acquired two projectors Christie Captiva DHD400S for two other rooms, one projecting on the wall and the other on a screen. This is technology laser phosphor equipment 1 DLP with ultra short throw lens, more than 3.000 lumens and HD resolution, which ensures high luminosity and brightness in small spaces.

“The idea when installing the Captiva was to project in the least intrusive way possible, without generating shadows or cuts, and that the projector was barely noticeable”, explains Francisco Oliva from Charmex. In that sense, thanks to its ultra-short throw lens 0,25:1, Captiva Series projectors can be mounted just inches from a screen or wall, in portrait or landscape mode, without shadows obstructing the image.

It is about, besides, very quiet projectors, that work at full capacity until 20.000 hours and without lamp, so they have zero maintenance, and that in a matter of seconds they reach their full brightness power or go into standby, instantly, without going through the cooling period. The engine 1 DLP allows the projector to be used in intensive use applications, including 24 mode×7, without interrupting its operation at any time.

In addition, Charmex installed three monitors in the BMW workshop training area Samsung UE55D, two on mobile supports and another fixed to a wall. They are ultra-thin screens with Full HD resolution, equipped with a WiFi module that allows transferring, reproduce, Easily share and schedule digital content without a physical connection.
