Polycom consolidates its strategy in Spain with specialization as a business axis
The company's commitment will focus on strengthening its presence in vertical markets such as education, health and the financial environment. In addition, are betting on other sectors such as audiovisual integrators. Your Pano solution is proof of this, as well as being Polycom's first foray into a new product segment.
Polycom has unveiled its strategy for the Spanish market that goes through specialization and commitment to vertical markets, with a view to achieving greater growth and expanding its field of action to new sectors.
At the local level, its strategy will focus on the ecosystem of partners that it currently has and that will be expanded to achieve that specialization and strengthen its presence in certain markets. "Our goal is as simple and as ambitious at the same time as making it available to all companies., from multinationals, to SMEs, the possibility of sharing, voice, video and content in the simplest way. For that we have an exceptional partner network, firm integration agreements with a company like Microsoft and we are strongly committed to R&D&I, creating new products adapted to the needs of our customers and society in general", says Jose Maria Vilar-Sancho, spokesperson for Polycom Spain.
At the local level, the Polycom Iberia team is growing, and has José María Vilar-Sancho Raga as acting responsible for the brand and Sales Manager, and Juan Carlos García Conde as Channel Business Manager Iberia.
Polycom wants to bring communication to the center of the meeting and take its solutions beyond multinationals, to the SME environment. Its portfolio will focus on three major families of solutions: voice, video and infrastructure.
Its global strategy is being integrated into all its operations and workflows by Polycom Spain, coupled with specialisation for certain vertical markets such as education, health or finance, and the value that the company gives to the experience of audiovisual integrators when working on projects in which videoconferencing or audio equipment is a part to be integrated. In this last aspect, highlights the Pano solution that was recently presented, and that we already advance in Digital AV Magazine.
Pano represents its first foray into a new product segment. "It is a clear example of our commitment to innovation, a device that makes it easy to share content during a meeting or video conference, without cables and allowing up to four devices at the same time, sharing screen, no incompatibility issues. It is another step to solve common problems in companies", comments Vilar-Sancho. It is a product that allows the company to expand its presence in new markets such as events.
Among the latest solutions that the company has presented for the collaboration environment are RealPresence Centro and EagleEye Director II, devices that aim to facilitate and "humanize" videoconferencing. Allow professionals to focus on what is being talked about or shared rather than investing time and effort in the technical aspects.
Betting on the partner ecosystem
In your channel strategy, Microsoft will remain a key partner and plans to continue applying its integration with them as evidenced by recent Polycom RealPresence Group Series certifications, the first standards-based video terminal certified for Microsoft Skype for Business online in Office 365 and Polycom RealConnect for Office 365, the Cloud Video Interoperability Service for Office 365.
likewise, will also expand their Unified Communications ecosystem, relying on partners with a deep knowledge of the different solutions involved for optimal integration. And its specialization strategy will be boosted in regional markets by expanding its level of certification with different partners..
