The first mapping in Valencia on a basketball court uses Christie's technology
The 3D projection occupied an area of 25×15 two Boxer 2K30 projectors were used for its execution, they were placed in tandem at a distance of 30 meters and working with wide-angle and inclined optics 17 degrees to encompass the entire track. A Dell Precision workstation was responsible for its management 7710 equipped with Resolume Arena software 5.0.4.
Videomapping expert Chema Siscar has just made the first mapping in the Valencian community on a basketball court. The project was carried out in the pavilion of La Fonteta during the previous match of the third match of the semi-finals of the Endesa League, between Valencia Basket and Baskonia. Two projectors have been used for its execution Christie Boxer 2K30, operated by Pascual Rodrigo, technical director of the Valencian company Audiovisuales.tv.
When they were left 10 minutes to the start of the match, the pavilion of La Fonteta darkened and became a large screen where a spectacular three-dimensional videomapping was projected that occupied an area of 25×15 that served to commemorate the 30 Valencia Basket club anniversary.
The two projectors were placed in tandem, in the box reserved for the press, at a projection distance of 30 metre, working with wide-angle and inclined optics 17 degrees to encompass the entire track.
The Boxer has omnidirectional orientation capability, making the installation and the possibilities of your site as flexible as possible. It's already oriented upwards, downwards, or with the angle that is required, the image maintains its integrity and uniformity during the show.
A workstation was used to manage the projectors Dell Precision 7710 equipped with audiovisual management software Resolume sand 5.0.4. Making videomapping, which lasted three minutes, was made possible by the sponsorship of Endesa.
"The Boxer is the perfect machine for big events, from conference screenings to large-scale mappings. It is ideal because its software allows you to make quick adjustments in the projection area. In addition, owning six lamps, the failure of one of them in the middle of a projection is invisible to the eyes of the attendees. And the fact that he weighs alone 68 kilos and that it is very well sized allows it to be easily transported between two people. But about it's a very quiet machine to work indoors, going unnoticed", points out Pepe Blasco, Audiovisuales.tv.
Christie Boxer 2K30 projector features 3DLP technology, 30.000 lumens and 2K resolution, and has the Built-in Christie TruLife Image Processor, which gives you high bit depth and high-frequency images.
