Augmented reality in the countdown to Force Friday II and the arrival tonight of 'Star Wars: the last Jedi'
From Madrid's Gran Via to Sydney Bay, along with the Eiffel Tower, the Golden Gate, the Grand Canyon, Copacabana Beach, Central Park and even the mythical Hollywood poster, among others, will change their look today in augmented reality with the beginning of the countdown of Force Friday II and the new Star Wars products celebrating it with all their fans.
The night of the 31 August stars in the arrival of new Star Wars products: the last Jedi and fans of the saga will join worldwide to receive them in the countdown of the Force Friday II; a global event that Disney and LucasFilm celebrate with the incorporation of augmented reality technology.
Within a radius of 2 km. of the twenty most emblematic locations in the world, Stars Wars fans will only have to open the app of the same name tonight, select Find the Force and point your phone at the sky to watch a short scene from the movie in augmented reality.
In addition, thanks to this application, fans will be able to take photos of the scene in augmented reality and join the conversation using hashtags #findtheforce and #forcefriday, and continue to watch videos and scenes in the web. This amazing animation, which has a duration of 10 seconds and can be seen until the next 3 September, shows an imperial destroyer over the sky of the locations, while two Tie Fighters fly in the distance.
