Scala software facilitates communication on Kuala Lumpur Pantai Hospital's digital network
The contents of the digital signage network deployed in the new hospital building are managed with this software quickly and continuously updated to provide information to patients, the location of each area and the waiting queues, among other services.
The Pantai Hospital in Kuala Lumpur (PHKL), in Malaysia, has carried out a major renovation to modernise the twelve-storey building in which this healthcare facility is located and provide a better service, in which the improvement of communication between staff and patients has been a key element.
As explained by the head of operations of the hospital, Puan Norhaslina Othman, "PHKL plays a pioneering role in the evolution of healthcare institutions, offering the best experience in the use of technology and setting high standards of quality services to its patients. With the implementation of digital solutions, We can update content and messages in an innovative and interactive way, in line with the modernization of the building".
For this project have been installed 45 digital screens in six different areas of the new building, in whose main lobby, control center and specialized areas twenty-six displays of 42 to inform and entertain patients with relevant content.
In addition, A video wall 6 has been set up in the main lobby×1 with 55" screens that is used as a digital medical directory, in addition to showing events or health campaigns. In this space, Patients and visitors can also use a digital wayfinding solution and view an interactive directory on two 42" touchscreens, located at the reception desk, to which are added eleven more located in the elevator areas.
The specialist Click Grafix has supplied and installed these visual systems in the new building, that are managed with the digital signage software of Scala, in addition to training hospital staff in the use and management of digital content. "We created more than forty generic templates from various categories for the respective zones using Scala Designer. Our intention was to make it even easier for employees to use this solution.".
specifically, in addition to these templates, the development of content with Scala Designer allowed the linking of creative content by transforming informative material and advertisements into templates through the network. Added to this is the ease of third-party integrations with the custom incorporation of a queue management system in the pharmacy area.
