HP extends its Z-series to support virtual reality and advanced design applications
The flagship of this family is the Z8 G4 workstation, offering the ability to run complex 3D simulations and process massive amounts of data, which is joined by the Z6 and Z4 models. likewise, The Z family has also been completed with seven new monitors designed for those looking for the best viewing and calibration experiences; and among which is a model of 37,5 4K curved screen inches.
Hp has unveiled what defines as the most powerful workstation on the planet, the Z8 G4, that incorporates new security capabilities and that make this desktop workstation the most secure and manageable. This model is part of the new workstations of the Z family that the manufacturer has just presented and that respond to the power and computing needs demanded by design professionals, Architects, Digital creators, scientists, Educators, health or financial.
The new Z8 workstations, Z6 and Z4 are equipped with great power, Safety and innovative design, Designed to support fast-growing areas such as virtual reality, Machine learning and advanced design.
Today's IT administrators must make security a priority. HP's new portfolio includes a full suite of security capabilities such as SureStart (Self-healing BIOS with intrusion detection) o Client Security Suite.
Flagship Workstation
The new workstations are equipped with Thunderbolt 3 (optional) and Dual 1GbE Ports (standard), to support the high-bandwidth data transfer demanded by current and future users, as well as Microsoft Windows support 7, for legacy workflows. Each of them offers modular front IO with USB ports 3.1 G2 Type C.
The Z8 and Z6 models support up to two CPUs and an optional dual network module 10 GbE for high-speed networks, at half the cost of current HP Workstations, and without occupying a PCIe expansion slot.
The Z8 G4 model is presented as HP's flagship workstation and offers great power for those who reimagine the design of everything, from race cars to rockets. Has the ability to run the most complex simulations and process massive amounts of data. Users can run 3D simulations and edit 8K video in real time with up to 56 processing cores and 3 TB of main memory. This computer is certified to run powerful software such as ANSYS or After Effects.
Its design has a renewed look with ducts that allow cooling of the second CPU instead of recycling the hot air expelled from the ducts of the first. Its split chassis allows rear access to the 1700W power supply with a locking mechanism, 24 DIMMs and a total of 9 PCIe slots (7 full-length PCIe slots and two customizable internal PCIe slots).
The HP Z8 Tower has a 67% more than memory, one 27% More processor performance, a bandwidth of PCIe I/O 40% 29%r larger and 29%r power supply than Z840 for customers running the most demanding workloads.
HP Z6 G4: Advanced visual effects
The HP Z6 G4 Workstation is designed with the needs of visual effects artists in mind. Supports the latest professional graphics, 384 GB RAM and M.2 slots for users of HP Z Turbo Drive PCIe SSDs, so they can experience seamless performance in visual effects and design workloads.
This workstation offers a highly modular design experience with options such as a second processor and a memory storage solution to double your computing capacity quickly and easily..
It offers up to 1,5 times the total amount of system memory, one 67% more memory bandwidth, one 27% more processor core count capacity and a 22% more PCIe I/O bandwidth for Z640 customers.
HP Z4 workstation
With the new Intel Xeon processor family, CAD users for simulation will see high application performance scaling, giving them the ability to visualize ideas at any time during the design process. The HP Z4 Workstation also offers significant design improvements with ergonomic front and rear handles, A smaller chassis for tight workspaces and a new dust filter option for industrial environments.
The HP Z4 workstation offers a great solution for embedded applications, frees up new levels of IoT bandwidth with dual network 1 GbE and M.2 slots for HP PCIe Turbo Drive SSDs, as well as the ability to easily upgrade the front USB to include two USB ports 3.1 G2 Type C.
It offers a 11% more than memory, one 25% more than working capacity of processor cores and a 13% more PCIe I/O bandwidth for those upgrading from the Z440.
HP Z Monitors with 38 curved display″
HP has also introduced seven new HP Z monitors, Designed for users looking for the best viewing experiences and immediate calibration.
Z38c offers hassle-free workspace, Removing the center bezel from dual-display configurations, with a diagonal curve of 37,5 Inch, a radius of 2.300 mm and an aspect ratio 21:9.
This team has a 4K screen and resolution of 3,840×1600 resolution, with optimized pixel density, so the icons and text are the right size, which allows users to better see what is projected on their monitor without wasting time in viewing better by zooming in and thus being more productive.
This team is joined by six other models of the Z series ranging from the 21,5 until 27 Inch. Each offers a set of features to optimize end-user workflow with virtually borderless displays for great images, Factory color calibration to ensure optimal color accuracy and flexible connectivity for all devices.
