Christie FHD553-XU: LCD panel for videowall configurations in control rooms and digital signage
This display solution is the latest addition that the manufacturer has made to its Ultra Series line. Offers Full HD resolution with support for 4K UHD in 2 configurations×2, a brightness of 500 nits and an ultra-narrow bezel of 3,5 Mm.
Christie has incorporated a new model to the line of Ultra Series solutions. This is the professional grade LCD panel FHD553-XU, a display that has a diagonal size of 55 inches with a brightness of 500 Nits (cd/m 2) and a contrast ratio of 1.400:1. With a Full HD resolution of 1,920×1080, this panel supports UHD signals from 4 KHz to 60 Hz when integrated into a videowall of 2×2.
The FHD553-XU panel, which is being presented in ASIS 2017, fair being held in Dallas (Texas – United States) since last Monday 25 until Thursday 28 September, has been designed with its use in control rooms and audiovisual applications in mind. It has ultra-narrow bezels of 3,5 mm to offer a videowall solution that offers high resolution image quality, built-in video processing and operation 24×7, combined with support for Christie Phoenix EP to deliver powerful audio-visual data control.
Each panel is calibrated at the factory and adjusted to ensure the uniformity of the image on the videowall for quick and easy installation and configuration. The ultra-narrow bezel width of 3,5 mm results in a near-perfect display that doesn't interfere with viewability.
With portrait and landscape orientation capabilities plus standard VESA mounting points, Ultra Series line solutions are easy to integrate into any control room, corporate space or architectural display.
An OPS slot makes it easy to perform performance upgrades such as Christie Phoenix EP for control rooms or digital media players for digital signage. Additional built-in processing includes video wall scaling, bezel compensation, staggered power and more.
Phoenix EP is a compact and scalable solution designed to manage content on videowall and distributed screens, making it ideal for applications such as control rooms, presentation rooms and digital signage displays. Offering the same processing features as Christie Phoenix, enables seamless access and control of audiovisual data from virtually anywhere, through a single system.
With a user-friendly interface, streamlines workflow and tasks associated with AV system integration and management, reducing wiring, rack space and installation complexity and costs.
“With this model we have improved the panel of this line for customers looking for professional LCD screens of high quality that provide reliability and high performance. With improved electronics, The FHD553-XU is still well suited for control rooms and viewing environments. Supports Phoenix EP, that uses network transport to streamline project design, eliminating the need for audiovisual distribution and extension equipment", comments Andy Clipsham, Christie senior product manager.
