Sony brings its innovations in 4K, 3D and IP for the healthcare sector to Medica 2017
The manufacturer will show in this contest their developments in capture, storage and distribution of networked content based on these technologies to increase workflow efficiency and improve patient care.
The edition 2017 of Medical, which will take place in the German city of Düsseldorf of the 13 to the 16 November, will have the participation of Sony (pavilion 10 – stand H57) and "a wide range of solutions for the healthcare industry that demonstrates our commitment to providing clinicians and patients with better clinical workflows, and how this innovation offers significant commercial and operational advantages for hospitals", says Dimitry van Kemenade, Marketing Director, Sony Professional Solutions Europe.
Among the digital solutions for operating rooms is NuCLeUS, an extensible video over IP platform from eSaturnus, a Sony group company, offering hospital workflows with optimal image quality.
Intuitive and easy to use, This system allows you to display videos and images from any source on any monitor in the operating room immediately, as well as recording the content on a central server for training and educational purposes, or use standard hospital networks to send you to other operating rooms, consultation rooms and remote sites.
Sony will also present at Medica 2017 your latest solutions for clinical diagnosis and documentation, as OLED displays, engravers and printers that are integrated into the systems of leading manufacturers of surgical and ultrasound products.
For example, GE Healthcare has called the MCM-2250NB OLED model "the best ultrasound display on the market"; The HVO-550MD recorder is approved for use with all major ultrasonic systems, and in printing products the UP-D898DC models stand out, which integrates with ultrasound towers, and UP-DR80MD, for surgical applications.
As for surgical solutions in HD and for hybrid operating rooms, the company will present HD 3D, the latest firmware version of the HVO-3300MT video recorder for medical applications, that fully integrates with end-to-end Dicom workflows, in addition to live video transmission from the operating room to auditoriums or consultation rooms.
To this are added the medical monitors LMD-2765MD and LMD-2735MD, with Full HD resolution and optimized for use in surgical settings, as well as microsurgery solutions with 4K 3CMOS cameras in prototype form that offers a real 4K 3D resolution.
With native 4K source, LMD-X550MD/MT Medical Monitor delivers highly accurate color reproduction, and the display's high dynamic range improves the display accuracy of HDR image signals.
In addition, in Medica 2017 the company will explain its partnership with endoscopic camera manufacturers to develop innovative solutions for imaging, as well as showing parallel imaging workflows in 4K and 3D in action, presenting a system of endoscopic images that will be displayed on the LMD-X550MT, the only 3D surgical monitor with 4K resolution so far on the market.
