Mango continues to advance the future of the retail sector by combining online and offline services
The latest project it is carrying out is being carried out in collaboration with Vodafone and Jogotech and the objective is to continue implementing the deployment of virtual fitting rooms in its stores.
Vodafone is working with the fashion brand Mango in a project that will allow the deployment of digital fitting rooms in some of the most representative stores that the firm has around the world.
The new fitting rooms have been designed from a digital mirror based on Internet of Things technology (Iot) developed by Mango and Vodafone in collaboration with Jogotech.
The digital fitting room consists of a touch screen installed on the mirror of the fitting rooms that works by scanning the barcode of the products and has two main functions. On the one hand, offers the possibility to consult information about the garments; and, on the other, It is used to contact store staff and make requests for garments without having to leave the fitting room.
The mirror identifies the garments introduced in the fitting room (via barcode or RFID) and shows available sizes and colors, plus categorized recommendations to complete the look. Customer can request other sizes and colors, both of the items entered into the fitting room, as well as any of its recommendations. Shop assistants receive requests in real time on a smartwatch.
Mango's goal is to extend digital fitting rooms to its main stores, from Barcelona to New York, which will help to combine online shopping experiences and the physical world.
Mango has chosen Vodafone as a partner to start the digital transformation process of its stores, in which it will be committed to turning spaces into innovative places where the customer buys and relates to the brand in a different way.
“We see the future of the retail sector as a combination of online and offline services. These new fitting rooms are another step in the digital transformation of our stores to create a completely new experience for our customers”, comments Guillermo Corominas, Mango's Director of Customer and Institutional Relations
