Unity Project Mars Offers Developers Accelerate the Creation of Mixed Reality Applications
The company has developed a suite of tools, which will be available in a few months, as it recently announced at its corporate conference in Berlin.
Project Mars (Mixed and Augmented Reality Studio) is the new extension of the Unity so that programmers can “Create mixed and augmented reality apps that live and react to the world”, as Timoni West has assured, Director of XR Research at Unity Labs, which will be available in autumn.
With it, Developers will have a set of tools to specify parameters to objects and proximity elements, Real Space, flat, Etc. No code required, and in this way create more innovative applications, of multiple planes and mixed and augmented reality spaces in a more intuitive way, Accurate and fast.
Unity also wants to establish an ecosystem of extensions from different vendors with Project Mars, so that developers have at their disposal a greater number of plugins and availability for mobile (ARkit and ARcore), Smart Viewers (Magic Leap, Etc).
