Art and digital experience come together in the prado's new multimedia exhibition

It is the first permanent installation of the Prado Museum that combines work and digital experience to enjoy the collection in all its splendor.

Samsung has developed, next to the Prado Museum, The first decorative arts application for smartphone and tablet, that allows to know all the details of the 254 Parts, which together with another case preserved in the Louvre, They make up the treasure. Users can explore all the works thanks to the digitization with 360º images and zoom in on each of them in high resolution. likewise, The application indexes the materials with which the works were created as rock crystal, lapis lazuli or gems. A proposal to contextualize the installation before, during or after the visit.
On the other hand, The new assembly of this installation is accompanied by an interactive application and audiovisual production The Dolphin's Treasure, developed in collaboration between the team led by Leticia Azcue, Head of Conservation of Sculpture and Decorative Arts at the Prado Museum and Samsung.
This audiovisual piece has been produced in 4K technology and thanks to the latest digital techniques in photogrammetry and 3D modeling, where the history of the Treasure is told since the Great Dauphin gathered it until our days. This production can be seen on the screen installed in the room installed in the room, as well as on another larger screen next to the visitor access on the ground floor to inform about the new installation on the second floor of the Museum.
On the other hand, The interactive application includes information to know one by one and in detail the data, Description and history of all works, including items such as cases, Historical photographs and similar works in other collections. This interactive experience can be enjoyed in three areas distributed in the room.
