Four Panasonic projectors are in charge of the mapping show on the façade of this emblematic theater, to make visual art accessible to citizens and visitors.

Built in 1852, the Örebro länsteater was the largest theatre in Sweden, while an accident with gas lighting completely destroyed the building in 1882, and it took seven years to rebuild it.

currently, the theatre of the province of Örebro celebrates the history of the building and its contribution to the arts with a mapping with projection on the façade, that surrounds the renovated building with light. For the third consecutive year, this has been the scene of a projection designed as a way to create a visual art accessible to everyone.

To do this, theatre managers worked in collaboration with the Hungarian group Limelight Projection Mapping, creators of artistic video mapping shows on unique and recognized facades around the world.

For three nights and with fourteen performances, Scenkonster: a spectacle on the walls! has served as an open meeting point in the square in front of the theatre. Inspired by the conviction that people gathered together are a prerequisite for change, the theatre presents a unique and creative work in which opposite poles attract and interact through art.

In order to offer an impressive visual spectacle, the specialist Univentum, in collaboration with the theatre team, specifically requested two projectors Panasonic PT-DZ21K, of 20.000 Lumens, which were stacked in pairs to create the mapping in the central section of the building.

To map the two smallest side sections of the building, two PT-RZ970 models were used., with a laser projection of 10.000 Lumens, which offered a lighting in total façade of 62.000 Lumens. The brightness intensity was almost the same, with a total of 62.000 Lumens, despite the difference in lumens of the projectors and everything worked well.

Five-minute duration, the content of the mapping combines the art of the futuristic line with nods to numerous famous works. "We know that with Panasonic's audiovisual technology we will obtain total reliability. This security is especially reassuring when we organize large events.. For mapping artists, this gives them total freedom and concentrate on pure creation.. The end result speaks for itself.", underlines Per-Arne Gerdin, Univentum project manager.
