The Virtual Reality Observatory of Malaga opens its second edition

The program, prepared by Medina Media, groups more than 20 Presentations and more than 30 experiences in the Demo Area. An area where attendees can test the most innovative applications of immersive technologies.

Today has begun, in the Digital Content Pole of Malaga, the second edition of the Virtual Reality Observatory (OVR18) in which multinationals such as Samsung will participate, Nokia, YBVR, Sngular, Premo Group, Amfitech, Opossum Studios, Giants Gaming and Versus Gamers. The inauguration has been carried out by the mayor of the Malaga City Council, Mario Cortes.

In addition, Movistar and Vodafone will attend to talk about eSports, and will have the participation of NASA, through the head of the Virtual Reality program, Evelyn Miralles.

This new edition of the Observatory of New Technologies has speakers such as María Pérez, investigadora de la Universidad de Cambridge; Rubén Pérez Mañanes, cirujano que aplica la Realidad Aumentada en sus cirugías en el Hospital Gregorio Marañón de Madrid, y el experto Francisco Asensi, de la consultora Tarkinia.

El director general de AEVI (Asociación Española de Videojuegos), José María Moreno, también compartirá por primera vez con los expertos del Observatorio las conclusiones del Anuario 2017.

Entre las últimas novedades, que podrán verse en las dos jornadas que dura el evento, está la experiencia estrella de Sngular, desarrollada con Sony Playstation, Coolpaintr VR. Se trata de una herramienta-videojuego de realidad virtual que fue lanzado el pasado 9 de mayo a nivel mundial.

Otra de las experiencias destacadas es la de la empresa con sede en Santa Mónica, YBVR, que expondrá una demo de cómo se puede ver un partido de tenis con realidad virtual en alta definición, desde el borde de la pista, viviendo la experiencia de estar virtualmente en la cancha, siguiendo la emoción del partido.
