Trison transforms with 180 m2 of Led visualization the Arenas shopping center of Barcelona
Merlin Properties has relied on this AV integrator and sensory marketing to carry out the transformation of what was the old bullring of the capital of Catalonia.
The mall Arenas of Barcelona (known as Las Arenas) it is a unique facility in the world since it is what was the bullring of the Catalan capital, of which only the façade has been preserved, adapting its interior to accommodate a varied offer of commercial spaces, leisure and gastronomy.
This property, property of Merlin Properties, was rehabilitated by award-winning architect Richard Rogers (Pritzker Prize 2007) and opened in the year 2011, it is currently considered an urban reference of the city, as well as one of its busiest tourist places.
Precisely for this reason, its managers have carried out a digital transformation project of this emblematic building, who have trusted Trison, specialist in audiovisual integration and sensory marketing, for the start-up a large interactive installation, currently the largest in Spain, which has been named Mosaic.
Specifically Trison has installed seven Led screens, thanks to which visitors can enjoy the audiovisual content of Mosaic, a multimedia show created by mosaics that make a nod to the most emblematic architectural landscape of the city, in which two artistic universes are combined: one inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, where shape and color create pictograms in continuous movement in the water; and another that takes as a reference the sun, where the mosaics provide a warm and colored effect.
As they point out from Merlin Properties, "the digital experience is a must", and that is why they have opted for this exclusive project developed by Trison, in collaboration with the renowned French design studio Admemori, specialized in motion graphics, digital media and audiovisual content.
The artistic spectacle it offers Mosaic is materialized through seven large format screens, which add up to more than 180 square meters of Led display technology, located in the most strategic points of the shopping center. A job done in a record time of only three weeks.
The installation surprises visitors with a huge circular screen, of 64 square meters, located on the floor of the central square, in the place that once occupied the ring of the old bullring.
To date, it is the largest interactive screen in Spain, that reacts visually to the steps of users walking on it, follows its route and produces a really spectacular visual effect.
On its perimeter, on the terrace of the old coso, is a hoop Led suspended from 62 meters of circumference. Thanks to image and sound synchronization, both supports create an immersive feeling that enriches the experience of visitors who come to this shopping center.
This digital installation, just opened, it is the first in a series of interventions that will emerge throughout the year. Visitors to Las Arenas will be able to enjoy, experience and live an unforgettable experience, in which technology and architecture take on a new dimension.
