Shuttle expands its X50 range with an 11.6" model with multi-touch capacitive display

Smaller in size than the rest of the range, Shuttle's compact P20U all-in-one PC is fanless and has NFC pre-installation for point-of-sale application.

All-in-one PCs with multi-touch display are an advantageous choice in many environments; take up little space, avoid excess cables and are quickly assembled, which gives them mobility. Proof of this are the fanless X50 models of Shuttle, with a 15.6" format, which the manufacturer has expanded with a new 11.6" variant (equivalent to 29,5 cm).

XPC P20U features multi-touch capacitive display, it is quiet and has NFC pre-installation. Its exterior dimensions are smaller than the rest of the range (29,9x 27.1x 5,0 cm) and by removing the collected wiring, it is possible to save others 6,8 cm in height when removing the cable organizer box (New in this model) on the outer edge of the equipment.

The screen, 11.6", Offers enough space for classic touch applications. It also has an HDMI connection and a VGA connection for a second or even a third monitor. Thanks to the multi-touch functionality, multi-finger movement control is possible and the entire front is protected against dust and splashes, according to IP54 rating.

Tom Seiffert, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Shuttle Computer Handels, explains that "P20U is the result of many years of experience in developing highly integrated PCs. The format is ideal for points of sale, although we are always surprised by the creative use of our products in other environments".

The hardware equipment offers sufficient room for manoeuvre applications at the point of sale and control, with an Intel Celeron 3865U low-power processor with dual cores; 1,8 GHz and HD Graphics 610, as well as two slots for up to DDR4 RAM 32 GB in total.

An internal USB Type-A connector, in combination with openings for external antennas, can be used for, for example, a 4G module with a high reception capacity.

As it does not have a fan, P20U is completely silent, It requires little maintenance and is suitable for permanent operation. It has a movable support leg with adjustable tilt angle, and if the latter is eliminated, features Vesa mounting surface for wall or surface installation.

Compact enclosure accommodates a 2.5" disk drive (HDD/SSD) and another NVMe SSD in M.2 format. In addition, This model integrates webcam, microphone, Speakers, WLAN, Bluetooth and Gigabit Ethernet.

Peripherals can be connected via the six USB ports and two RS-232 interfaces. As an optional accessory, it supports other interfaces (PCP21) and an NFC module (PNFC01).
