Shure P9RA+ and P10R+: bag receivers for the stage and outdoor productions
These compact receivers offer improved RF performance and have been developed according to a hybrid analog/digital system that increases the dynamic ceiling., Stereo separation and audio fidelity.
Shure has presented the P9RA+ and P10R+ bodypack receivers, used with PSM wireless personal monitoring systems 900 and PSM 1000, respectively. Developed for live performers, Broadcast Production Directors, Sound technicians and rental companies, These equipment offer improved RF performance and have been designed according to a hybrid analog / digital system that increases the dynamic ceiling, Stereo separation and audio fidelity.
The P9RA+ is a compact stereo beltpack receiver used with the PSM wireless system 900. Offers high audio quality and a stronger RF signal to meet the needs of various professional audio applications.
All P9RA+ receivers are compatible with Shure's original P9T and P10T transmitters and SE Sound Isolatin in-ear headphones, brand represented in Spain by Earpro. For its part, The P10R+ is a compact bodypack receiver with dual antenna diversity design that is used with the PSM wireless system 1000. By having advanced features such as RF scanning across bandwidth, a maximum precision RF filter and automatic RF gain control, Meets the demands of any professional audio application.
"The new P9RA+ and P10R+ beltpack receivers include enhancements that help RF engineers better meet daily workflow challenges., without sacrificing audio quality. By designing a hybrid system that uses digital and analog technology, We've been able to improve the listening experience while maintaining audio accuracy and transparency. In fact, We have designed a studio-quality product for use on stage and in outdoor productions.", explains Michael Johns, Senior Product Manager, Shure.
Implemented on an integrated FPGA circuit, upgraded PSM receivers are equipped with digital signal processing technology (Dsp) provides high-quality digital audio in an analog RF transmission. Offering higher RF sensitivity, P9RA+ and P10R+ receivers offer cleaner RF signal and better band-wide behavior.
The P10R+ offers a more robust and reliable RF signal when used in close proximity to digital transmitters, and superior operability when paired with digital wireless microphone systems in places where spectrum is highly saturated..
"Audio quality and RF performance remain the most important factors when choosing a wireless in-ear monitoring solution.. The goal of the new hybrid analogue/digital architecture was to achieve breakthroughs that would enable crystal clear audio on stage and improve RF performance to meet the ever-increasing demands of broadcast and live entertainment.", says Johns.
For sound technicians who wish to retain the same sound image as the original PSM receivers 900 and PSM 1000, the new PSM receivers are equipped with the Match function, A preconfigured EQ option, which reproduces the sound image of P9RA and P10R receivers. On the other hand, PSM transmitters and in-ear headphones have not been modified 900 and PSM 1000.
"We are well aware that sound technicians may not want changes in sound quality when improvements are made to existing product ranges.. That's why, we have taken advantage of the possibilities of our integrated FPGA circuit to develop a Match EQ configuration that allows technicians to have the same sound image as the original PSM receivers 900 and PSM 1000, plus being able to enjoy the latest improvements in RF signal reliability, longer battery life and volume lock", ", Johns adds.
