The chain Iceland Foods has decided to renovate its stores to attract a wider clientele to its establishments. The objective was to implement digital signage technology in the 800 establishments that are part of its network. To carry out this project, he hired the services of the Signagelive, Lumino AV.

The modernization of the stores was intended to offer a new brand image and create a more attractive shopping experience.

The famous 'special offer' signs that Iceland Foods always had on its store windows have been replaced by high-resolution double-sided screens. These totems have been designed with the screens of Samsung and the high-gloss OM55D model has been used for the outer faces and the Tizen for the inner ones. These display stands have been mounted on a metal housing, Custom-built, that guarantee its robustness, while giving them a striking aesthetic.

Each of these screens displays multiple offers in a carousel of eye-catching images. An improvement over static and traditional printed posters, that were used before, and that only allowed four to six promotions to be shown at a time.

Promotion of offers

On the other hand, Iceland Foods has installed a customised digital signage solution above the open freezers, Composed of three screens, to promote the latest offers.

A key challenge for Iceland Foods was the need to keep customers informed of the latest home delivery slots available in each store. Home delivery is a key requirement for customers who want to shop during lunch and have their products frozen and refrigerated delivered when they are at home.

Signagelive worked with Iceland Foods, and your logistics platform provider Route Monkey, to develop a custom application, that is implemented on key screens in each store, to dynamically display the availability of live delivery slots, depending on store location.

In addition to providing the convenience of displaying home delivery spaces within the store, Iceland Foods required a digital signage platform that would allow them to be more agile and offer highly targeted special offers, that fit the demographics, The Seasons, the time of day or special occasions.

At the heart of this digital signage solution is Signagelive's ability to balance scalability with ease of use and ensure that content scheduling remains time-efficient, regardless of the number of connected players.

The Signagelive Content Management solution is an end-to-end CMS platform, cloud-based, which gives Iceland Foods full control of individual or group screens, allowing the central team to drive new offers instantly in select stores or across the retail network.
