Samsung implements its digital signage solutions in the newly opened Istanbul Airport
The project includes almost 700 LCD and Led screens, among which are two large format (193 m2) that are located at the boarding gate. The rest are located in the arrival halls, Baggage reception areas, Billing and passport control.
Samsung Electronics has completed the implementation of the digital signage solution at the newly opened Istanbul Airport. The project includes almost 700 Smart Signage screens, that include LCD and Led equipment. The latter cover an area of 1.012 square meters, which is equivalent to 2,5 basketball courts.
The project has been completed in 45 days and has been made by a Samsung technical team, consisting of 28 people, and the help of the company specialized in digital signage, safety, data storage and IT services, B.T. Global.
The new airport is located at 35 km of the capital and its construction is being carried out in four phases. The first, Inaugurated last 29 October, has allowed the opening of two runways and a terminal with capacity for 90 million passengers.
Once completed, The airport will consist of three terminals and six runways, It is expected to have a transit of 200 million passengers annually and hosting 2.000 Arriving and departing aircraft, with flights to 350 Destinations. The goal is to become the largest international airport in the world, with a surface of 76,5 million square meters.
In the main building of the airport terminal that has just been opened, a space of 1,4 million square meters, is where Samsung has implemented its digitization project, commissioned by the operator of the Istanbul Airport Digital Advertisement, Media Port Istanbul.

The striking Samsung signage will welcome visitors arriving at Istanbul Airport through two Led screens 193 square meters. These are located at the international boarding gate, Close to the hotel area and main office.
Passengers will also find Samsung Led signage in the arrival halls, baggage reception areas, billing, Passport control and waiting rooms.
