Based on Original Object-Based Spatial Audio technology, this system immerses listeners in a three-dimensional sound field.

Sony 360 Reality AudioPresented in the recent edition of ESC 2019, the multinational Sony has presented, through its video and sound division, the live musical experience 360 Reality Audio, which makes users feel like they are in the front row of a concert, thanks to Original Object-Based Spatial Audio technology.

360 Reality Audio generates a three-dimensional sound field, in which different sounds and musical elements can be projected from anywhere within a 360º space around the listener, thanks to Sony's object-based spatial audio technology.

To underline the power of this technology, Sony will collaborate with some clubs and theaters of the company Live Nation to capture the audio of a concert series, as The Wombats, AJR, Good Charlotte, Chris Lane, Jorja Smith, Tritonal, Jesse McCartney, Kodaline, Etc.

"We are proud of this collaboration," says Kichiro Kurozumi, director of product and brand planning at Sony Video & Sound Products-. This will allow us to provide a new, highly realistic musical experience. 360 Reality Audio will create new music content that will excite them as if they were in a Live Nation concert hall.".

The company collaborates with major record labels, distribution services and music organizations to provide a technology that builds a music ecosystem around 360 Reality Audio, which will include creation, distribution and reproduction of musical content. Sony works to promote this new music experience among music creators, artists and fans to create and deliver a new musical entertainment environment.

Based on MPEG-H 3D Audio, 360 Sony Reality Audio provides audiences with a highly creative and cutting-edge musical experience, thanks to the underlying support of MPEG-H object-based audio, voices, instruments and effects can be placed around listeners to create an immersive sound experience.

As a result,, music creators can create a 360º musical experience by designing the distance, the angle and other position information for sound sources, including voices, choirs and instruments, to adapt them to your creative and artistic goal. When listeners play the resulting content, they enjoy a sound field that immerses them in all directions, as intended by musical creators and artists.
