Christie illuminates two cylindrical screens for the Popular Art Museum of Portugal
For the exhibition ‘Physics of Portuguese Heritage. Architecture and Memory', which is being exhibited at the Museum of Popular Art in Lisbon, are being used 12 Christie DWU635-GS laser projectors that illuminate two cylindrical screens of 6,20 meters in diameter.

Technical consulting in visual arts, Balaclava Black, has been in charge of installing Christie's technology together with the company Total OFF, specialist in the supply of audiovisual solutions and partner of the manufacturer in the Portuguese country.
In total they are using 12 Christie DWU635-GS laser projectors with 1DLP technology, WUXGA resolution and 6.750 lumens, that illuminate two cylindrical screens 6,20 meters in diameter.
By deploying cylindrical screens, The curators of the show wanted to avoid typical display practices to create a versatile and immersive space., providing an immersive experience to visitors.
“In cylindrical screens there is a tendency for the appearance of points with greater luminosity, but Christie's software has allowed us to reduce them in both brightness and color.", explains Luis Carmo, account manager at Total AV.
The DWU635-GS projectors used in the exhibition incorporate warping and blending technology from the factory., dynamic contrast, 360º orientation and portrait and landscape modes. Con 20.000 maintenance-free operating hours and operating capacity 24/7, feature Christie's RealBlack technology, which allows a contrast ratio 4.000.000:1 full on/off in a super quiet solution (36dBA).
