To create this 3D canvas of 7.000 square meters have been used four Datapath Fx4 /H controllers that are responsible for distributing the video signal of 32 Mp, powered by a Screenberry media server, to 16 projectors Barco UDX-W32.

Datapath lights up Melody Maker hotel

Cancun is one of Mexico's largest tourist destinations and attracted more than 35 million visitors over the past year. Located on the beach, very close to the city center, is the hotel located Melody Maker. With more than 400 Rooms distributed in 16 floors and an open-air club that has hosted prominent DJs and artists such as Paris Hilton, David Guetta and Armin Van Buuren, remains at the forefront of leisure centres in the area.

UDX boatIn order to create a more immersive experience, Spectacular and unforgettable for guests attending your events, the Melody Maker hotel decided to turn its exterior into a giant canvas of 7.000 square meters to create one of the largest permanent 3D mapping screens in the world.

This installation helps Melody Maker differentiate itself from its competitors, while offering a nightly visual spectacle for spectators, both on and off the coast.

Companies New Media Creative Technology Studio, based in Madrid, and Front Pictures, based in Kiev, were responsible for providing the projection system that illuminates the hotel.

The Front Pictures Team, which has provided display solutions for some of the world's leading brands such as Ferrari, BMW and Disney, was responsible for the engineering and integration of the systems.

For this project it was decided to use four display controllers Datapath Fx4/H to distribute the video signal of 32 Mp (Powered by a single media server Screenberry) to 16 Projectors ship UDX-W32, Strategically located outside the hotel.

In total, were used 3 Kilometers of fiber optic cables to connect all components, creating the first permanent 3D mapping facility for a hotel.
