JCDecaux displays digital street furniture in the French department of Halys-de-Seine
The outdoor advertising company has started the implementation of smart and digital street furniture in 34 cities of Hauts-de-Seine (Hautes-de-Seine), after being awarded the contract of the Department Council of this area.
With a duration of fifteen years, the contract that JCDecaux has won in this important French department, located west of Paris and with 1,6 million inhabitants, contemplate the design, supply, installation, maintenance and operation of 108 street furniture units.
specifically, this project has 36 digital street furniture units, located at the entrances of the Departmental Council, which shall be devoted to the official communication of this institution, as well as data of interest in real time of the area, like time, temperature, traffic, Etc.
To this are added 72 large-format smart digital street furniture units, equipped with Ultra HD LCD screens of 86 Inch, with high outdoor image quality, that will be distributed in strategic and high-affluent areas of this area to offer both local information in real time and advertising, providing useful information for the public and exceptional visibility for advertisers.
According to company data, one third of the installation project has already been completed (32 units), and the rest will be ready in the summer of this year. In addition, is the first time that a Department Council in France launches a digital street furniture project, that incorporates useful and contextualized information live, to have a closer communication with its citizens.
The street furniture has been designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Carlos Bratke, that has taken maximum care of the integration of these systems with the environment and the diversity of the 34 areas that make up the Hauts-de-Seine area (Hautes-de-Seine), and of which JCDecaux has further improved its energy efficiency.
Jean-Charles Decaux, Chairman of the Executive Board and co-director of JCDecaux, has shown his satisfaction for "having started the deployment of our urban furniture in the department of Hauts-de-Seine, that will improve our network in this area and expand the national presence. Our street furniture offers digital innovation, quality and sustainable development".
This important digital street furniture project "will also place the department of Hauts-de-Seine at the forefront in the key areas of La Défense, Neuilly-sur-Seine, La Garenne-Colombes, Courbevoie and Levallois-Perret. This new contract is a decisive step in the digital evolution of our offer, expanding it to 34 new cities.
