Sony evolves its Crystal Led technology with a display of 20 meters and real 16K resolution
The manufacturer shows in NAB 2019 in Las Vegas its new visual system, configured with modular panels without microLed bezels, that will be marketed in the corporate market.
when Sony presented a few years ago its advanced prototype of a screen with a new technology called Crystal Led, at that time 55" Full HD self-emission using ultra-thin LEDs as a light source (more details on Digital AV), has now become a giant TV screen (some 20 meters long and 5,5 high) with 16K resolution, that the manufacturer is presenting in NAB 2019 in Las Vegas.
The Japanese company has announced that this visual advance is being installed at the cosmetics firm, also Japanese, Shiseido, specifically in its new R+D center in Yokohama, occupying two floors of the same. Sony already designed in 2014 a system, also with 16K resolution, at Haneda Airport, in Tokyo.
The evolution of this powerful display offers an improved result, maintaining its configuration through modular panels without microLed bezels, the result of which is as if it were a single, thanks to its Crystal Led technology.
This results in images with noticeably higher contrast (in bright and dark environments), A wider range of colours, Fast response time for video images and wider viewing angles, compared to LCD systems, with lower energy consumption. In addition, visual distance is reduced, as the viewer can be close to the screen and see images without distortion and without losing resolution.
