Bosch helps introduce IP technology into Finland's Parliament
To incorporate IP technology, more than 160 discussion units of the Dicentis conference system, with touch screen, in the three committee chambers of Parliament.
Para Juhana Kari, jefe de proyecto de Caverion, y para el planificador de TI del propio Parlamento, Jarmo Erling, the need to use new future-proof conferencing systems offered the opportunity to introduce IP communication into the building, But it also came with a huge responsibility, as it was necessary to ensure that the solution would work perfectly.
With this goal in mind, Kari and Erling have collaborated to introduce committee rooms to the field of IP technology with the Dicentis conference system in the Bosch. "IP communication is becoming an increasingly important element in audio distribution. I can say that almost 100 percent of the new projects we are working on are IP-based.", confirms Kari.
IP communication provides latency-free, compression-free digital audio with the highest quality, while encryption technologies, Globally Recognized, Ensure privacy and security.
Dicentis' IP solution is future-proof because Omneo is based on the Ethernet standard, enabling technology enhancement with software updates.
The use of existing IT infrastructure makes IP communication a very cost-effective option, since the audio, video and meeting data can be transmitted over an Ethernet cable and very little technical training is required to install the system.
The three large committee rooms have been equipped with Bosch Dicentis solutions, two of them IP-based. In the largest, a total of 75 Dicentis touchscreen debating units serve Members of Parliament who meet in this expansive Baroque space.
Near, A slightly smaller room, has 25 Dicentis discussion units with touch screen, combined with the comprehensive camera tracking provided by three HD cameras. In another part of the building, A third room uses 63 Dicentis wireless discussion units with touch screen.
"As our audio has become part of the IP network, It is very easy to control and monitor. The halls of Parliament are easily connected via the IP network", Erling points out.
