The German stadium of Sparkassen presents a multipurpose space with its new sound system

To achieve a uniform sound in the stands, at sporting events, and a clear orientation towards the stage, in concerts, have been installed 12 Modular speakers 15 and two Paveosub-218sp.

the Sparkassen-Arena Jena is a sports center of 2.300 square meters and capacity for 3.000 Spectators. It is a multipurpose space that is used for different acts, whether concerts or corporate events.

To respond to their needs they were looking for a system that offered a uniform sound in the stands for when sporting events are held and a clear orientation towards the stage when it comes to concerts..

The company in charge of carrying out the project has been CKV Ton & Lichtanlagen, based in Thuringia, which has developed a design based on the speakers of the German manufacturer Voice-Acoustic.

In total they have been installed 12 Modular speakers 15 and two Paveosub-218sp. The first has an internal amplification power of 3,200W and allows to amplify the power of another Modular equipment 15.

In the stands of 40 meters long four Modular equipment have been assembled 15, while in those of 20 meters two teams have been installed.

The Hall has been divided into several reinforcement zones. All self-Powered speakers are connected and grouped via Ethernet cable with Voice-Acoustic remote control software. This allows the operator to choose between sound for concert or sports. Only the longest stands, which are separated into four delay zones, are used for concert sound.

Four Modular-15s are mounted in the lateral ranges of 40 m long and two on the front sides of 20 m long. The room was divided into several public address areas. All self-powered speakers are networked and grouped via Ethernet cables with voice acoustic remote control software. The software allows the operator to choose between concert sound reinforcement and sports sound reinforcement. Concert sound only uses the side ranges of 40 M, which are divided into 4 delay zones.

The interior is sounded through a respective production line. In sport mode, the 4 lateral ranges are active. As bass support, two Paveosub-218sp will be placed in the room.

The height of the platform is nine meters. CKV installed the speakers above the tube truss, using the Easfly Voice-Acoustic mechanism. This does not obstruct the viewing area of the Led cube of 163 Inch.
