Legends Casino Hotel Transforms Event Space with Elation Lighting

An efficient lighting system is a fundamental part of the renovation project of the old ballroom of this North American installation in a multipurpose space.

Located in Toppenish, in the city of Yakama (Washington State – United States), Legends Casino Hotel and Events Center is considered one of the best casinos and entertainment centers in the Northwest of the country, that to maintain this status and attract new customers has built a new and technologically advanced event center.

Legends managers contacted Morgan Sound, Elation Professional distributor, to help them transform the ballroom into a space to offer concerts and presentations of great level, with the capacity to 1.750 people, entrusting them with the design and installation of audio systems, lighting, video and scenography for this project.

As far as the lighting area is concerned for this multipurpose installation, Morgan Sound selected a state-of-the-art system from Elation. "We chose their products because of their flexibility and brightness., and the on-site experience has been very positive", noted Stephen Weeks, Morgan Sound Senior A/V Consultant.

With a technical system flexible enough to withstand touring events, in those that have a place from comedy, pop and country to hip-hop and rock, Morgan Sound designed a Led lighting system composed of 34 Lights Seven Par 19IP Par; 16 Rayzor 760 with moving heads; 12 Artiste DaVinci with moving heads; 10 ellipsoidal Color 5 Profile and 6 Cuepix Blinder WW2 luminaires, all of Elation.

A key aspect of the lighting system is its energy efficiency., as well as that it needs less maintenance, two factors that directly translate into a significant reduction in costs.

"The lighting systems are all Led to reduce energy consumption and eliminate the need to replace lamps," explains Weeks.. The savings also extend to other areas. With the Elation Led system there is less wiring, fewer connections and no regulators to work with. The heat generated is also reduced compared to traditional arc source systems, which means a lower load on the air conditioning system and lower consumption".

From the end of the project, Legends Casino Events Center has hosted a number of major events and performances, as frontline acts such as Reo Speedwagon and Martina McBride, with comedians Terry Fator and Bill Engvall, and Three Dog Night and Queensryche, among others.
