LG offers turnkey solutions for reopening businesses in the 'new normal'

New systems combine screens of different sizes, advanced software and sensors for occupancy management, temperature control and contactless digital signage tools.

While companies reopen their doors and begin their journey in the 'new normal', LG Business Solutions has expanded its range of health protocol solutions, introducing new digital signage packages that offer companies eye-catching platforms to provide information, orientation, wayfinding and interactive experiences.

The Korean company has partnered with other tech firms to offer a number of new options including wellness kiosks., occupancy management systems, portable solutions that work with batteries and even contactless interactive digital signage displays.

Wellness Station

The new Wellness Kiosks (Wellness) are an ideal solution to provide information and peace of mind to customers in any type of physical environment of the store. Vertical and rectangular system includes a thermal scanner for temperature readings, which is integrated into a webOS digital display of 22 or 32 LG inches to display health information.

The system has a hand sanitizer dispenser, motion-activated, along with slots for storing boxes of gloves or masks. It even records the number of people who are using hand sanitizer.. Being a compact 'all-in-one' solution, no additional components required.

On the other hand, many retailers and public places have begun tracking occupancy in real time to comply with local and internal policies..

New occupancy management solutions that integrate LG displays can reduce staff workload by automatically tracking customer entry and exit, while providing guidance to incoming customers.

This eliminates the need to place employees very close to customers at every entrance.. At the center of the occupancy systems are the LG screens of 49 and 55 Inch, along with a media player that helps manage input, updating the waiting times of arriving customers or the occupancy of the store.

For high-traffic restrooms in transit centers or public places, a new SmartRestroom solution informs users about the current occupancy of the bathroom and the state of cleanliness.

The system uses external sensors and the company's webOS signage platform to automatically detect and transmit occupancy information to janitors., through a push button that alerts when a cleaning is required, depending on usage. The system is built around a 32 LG inches that are mounted outside the bathroom entrance.

Health protocols

Property managers and retail store owners, catering establishments, schools and universities face changing local regulations and corporate policies, experimenting with new designs and doing everything possible to make customers and visitors feel safe and informed.

Ubiquitous digital signage has become crucial for clearly communicating rules and limiting staff interaction with customers., either in the shop windows, in a hallway, next to the exhibition of a product, at a cash register or anywhere else.

For maximum flexibility and comfort, A-Frame portable display solution combines a webOS signage display from 32 Inch, an optional on-board battery and a folding base or rolling base to allow relocation at any time. The LG display is mounted vertically to fit the width of the base and allow for non-intrusive placement in pedestrian traffic areas.

For larger needs, LG has launched a number of standard and high-brightness solutions that are available in screen sizes of 49 and 55 Inch, along with a Peerless-AV SmartMount flat panel trolley for easy and flexible placement.

Contactless interactive solutions

To replace interactive touch screens in shops and public places, LG offers a number of contactless solutions that allow customers to connect with digital content through mobile device links or voice controls through LG's Health Solutions page.
