The next 18 y 19 September, Sónar will become an audiovisual platform and will broadcast all its programming live from its website in streaming and with exclusive content on demand.

Through more channels and with a new format, Sonar+D 2020 will celebrate the days 18 y 19 an extraordinary online and in-person edition (prior registration) at the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (Contemporary Culture Center – CCCB) with limited capacity.

As an audiovisual and digital platform, During these two days, the event will offer all its programming from the web through two free streaming channels and exclusive content on demand (between 10:30 y 02:00h), while the face-to-face activities at the CCCB will be held between 10:30 and the 00:00h of said days.

In this edition they will participate 140 artists and speakers in more than seventy activities (debates, exhibitions, concerts, DJsets and new formats, as video capsules produced expressly for the festival by numerous artists).

The Sónar+D CCCB program aims to showcase artistic talent, scientific and technological of Barcelona and Catalonia, as its organizers point out, with the participation of more 44 local artists and 32 experts. The conferences, Debates and presentations will revolve around five thematic axes, with the prominence of science and its focus on the fields of bioacoustics, neuroscience, he biohacking and climate change.

The other four axes focus on robotics and its interaction with living entities.; advances in immersive technology and hyperreality; artificial intelligence and its role in the economies of creativity and, as always in Sonar, in new interfaces and tools for musical and audiovisual creation.

Nearly forty entities in the cultural field, educational and scientific have joined this program, in which they present projects such as the UPC Arts program of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia; IDIBEL (Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute); Tool/Idea, Hangar, European Institute of Design (IED), the Master of Sound Art from the University of Barcelona, the S+T+ARTS program of the European Union; the Ars Electronica festival and Factory Berlin.

Representatives of technological innovation companies and creative industries in the city join this program., as Broomx, Futura Space, Antiloop, Sonosuite, Glassworks y Protopixel, among others.
