d&b audiotechnik takes installation one step further with 44DS, Your first recessed speaker

The intelligent design of the waveguide and the speaker baffle 44S d&b Creates high directivity and minimizes interference between speakers, even when they are located very close.

Asymmetrical case design and Backbox mounting accessory provide additional flexibility, that allows adjustments of +/- 20° in 5° increments, to adapt to different listening heights. A rotating waveguide extends those characteristics to positioning, both horizontal and vertical, of the team.

If accompanied with the 10D installation amplifier, 44S speaker delivers extraordinarily high performance for its size ratio.

The 44S Speaker&b Delivers a uniform high-frequency response for specific near-field applications (nearfield), up to 17 khz. A powerful mid-frequency range enhances intense vocal performances with high linearity and speech intelligibility.

Sound Technology

The compact 44S speaker enclosure houses two low-frequency neodymium drivers (LF) 4.5", as well as two convex high-frequency speakers (HF) from 1.25″ in a passive two-way design.

A variety of accessories allow the 44S speaker to be mounted on walls and floors, as well as under roofs or amphitheaters or mounted on a tripod. The intended coverage distances are precisely covered with a single loudspeaker or with tightly connected clusters of two cabinets.
