Bose unveils L1 Pro family of portable linear array systems

Designed for singers and solo musicians, DJs on the move and bands of all genres that require using audio equipment to sound the most diverse places, this range is offered consisting of three models (L1 Pro8, L1 Pro16 and L1 Pro32) with the option of two subwoofers.

Bose Professional has introduced its new family of portable linear array systems L1 Pro, the next step in the development of a category of PA invented by the manufacturer makes 17 years with the launch of the original L1 model.

L1 Pro systems usher in a new era for singers and solo musicians, DJs on the move and bands of all genres that require using audio equipment to sound the most diverse places.

The three new models of the L1 Pro line (L1 Pro8, L1 Pro16 and L1 Pro32, with the option of two subwoofers), offer 180° horizontal coverage with tonal balance and great clarity.

The RaceTrack woofer design, integrated into the L1 Pro8, L1 Pro16 and Bose U1 and U2 modular subwoofers, provides an extended base response on a smaller computer, which facilitates its transport and assembly work, in addition to reducing the space it occupies on the stage.

Integrated multi-channel mixers offer equalization, reverb and phantom power, Bluetooth connectivity and access to the full library of custom ToneMatch equalization presets, allowing performers to play with the tonal quality of a recording studio.

These new portable sound systems are designed to offer various options to artists, adapt to different styles and audiences, and provide an optimal solution for creators who are resuming live performances and looking to deliver listening experiences from outdoor venues and online platforms around the world.

The ultra-portable L1 Pro8 model provides a perfect solution for intimate spaces and small groups; the L1 Pro16 model, portable and with great bass performance, is ideal for small to medium spaces, while the L1 Pro32 model offers high performance in a portable system for large audiences.

L1 Mix App

Bose L1 Pro notebook systems complement the L1 Mix app, available for Android and IOS, putting complete wireless control in the hands of users for immediate adjustments through intuitive, instant controls.

Musicians or DJs can control mixer settings via smartphone or tablet from the stage, or even walk around the enclosure, listen to how the mix sounds and adjust it. Tone and volume settings can also be changed in the app, and users will observe how the Led encoder moves to match; the mixer and the application are always synchronized in real time.

Ultra Portable L1 Pro8

With a weight of 17,7 Kilos, the L1 Pro8 is the ideal companion for shows in small spaces, such as bars and cafes, and its slim design allows artists to take advantage of the simplicity of their installation and clarity.

A C-shaped inline arrangement that features eight articulated neodymium drivers of 2″; 180° horizontal coverage with wide vertical dispersion, allowing the audience to hear clearly, whether seated or standing, and even if they are located at the ends of small to medium places.

The built-in 7×13-inch subwoofer features a high-scroll, high-performance RaceTrack driver that competes with a conventional woofer 38,1 cm, with a smaller size.

L1 Pro16: versatile coverage

With an extended high and low frequency output the L1 Pro16 has a weight of 24,4 Kilos, being the perfect choice for DJs, singer-songwriters and small groups performing in small or medium-sized clubs and bars. A portable system that optimizes the available space, both in a vehicle and on stage, in addition to providing extended bandwidth.

It is an online arrangement in the form of a 'J' with 16 2 articulated neodymium drivers″, 180° horizontal coverage, adjusted vertical control at the top and wide dispersion at the bottom to cover the audience, whether it's at floor level or on an elevated stage, and even at the ends of medium to large places.

It has an integrated subwoofer of 10×18 inches, which features a high-displacement neodymium RaceTrack driver and performance that rivals a conventional woofer 15 Inch, but with a smaller size.

L1 Pro32: uniform coverage

The maximum level of a portable sound system for public spaces is the L1 Pro32, which is the most advanced L1 family portable online arrangement system, because it weighs 13 Kilos.

U1 and U2 modular subwoofers weigh 16,1 and 23,4 Kilos, respectively, which means it's powerful and portable. With great clarity and output, L1 Pro32 gives DJs, singers and bands, an unmatched portable PA system with powerful bass for medium to large venues and events, such as weddings and outdoor festivals.

This arrangement in a straight line with 32 articulated neodymium drivers of 2 Inch, 180° horizontal coverage with the most centered vertical coverage pattern and the highest remote SPL on an L1, offers details, intricate sound clarity and consistency, even at the ends of larger places.

Pairs with Bose Sub1 or Sub2 active bass module via a single-wire SubMatch connection for power and audio.

It is possible to mount two Sub1 or Sub2 subwoofers to get more bass or activate the cardiode mode to achieve a centered and directional performance that cancels out the power of the rear output bass, it is enough to direct the bass towards the front to decrease the feedback.

On its back, each L1 Pro system has an integrated mixer for musicians and technicians to easily connect various instruments, microphones and other sources.

Mixer includes two XLR-1/4 combo inputs″ with phantom power and auxiliary inputs of 1/4 and 1/8″ (3,5 Mm).

Illuminated rotary controls provide instant access to volume settings, tone and reverb per channel.

Additional instruments and audio sources can even be added via a dedicated ToneMatch port, a cable provides both power supply and digital audio signal between the system and an optional Bose T4S or T8S console.
