Pictures That Move presents its Call Studio TV platform with Ventuz technology
The Madrid company has extended its technological offer of interactive 3D presentations in real time, with the development of virtual proposal to respond to the communication needs of companies and events.
As part of its strategy to develop advanced and innovative audiovisual solutions, Pictures That Move (PTM) integrated more than ten years ago the software of Ventuz to your workflow. Proof of this are cutting-edge projects for companies and institutions such as Inditex (Zara), LG Electronics, Iberostar Group, Zurich Insurance, IBM and the Olympic bid for Los Angeles 2028, among others.
In recent months, PTM has been developing a virtual event solution based on Ventuz, that started before the COVID health crisis occurred 19, and that is now operational to respond to the needs of companies to communicate with their customers and partners, keeping costs under control and complying with social distancing and other safety procedures.
That's why, the company has expanded its audiovisual proposal with Call Studio TV, that qualify as "a platform to host an event, a 3D space that adapts to the corporate identity of the company where images can be inserted, Videos, interactive graphics and any visual information in real time".
This platform has the technology of Ventuz, as Peter Specht explains, CEO of PTM: "The goal was to deliver virtual events that go beyond the standard video streaming of talking faces., that have become almost ubiquitous today. We wanted to create something as close as possible to a TV show., with the highest possible quality and adding all the creative possibilities that Ventuz's real-time graphics allow".
Although initially this proposal was for small and medium events, which usually take place in small venues or in hotel meeting rooms, "The system is flexible enough to scale up for larger events and spaces.. It was also very important for us and our clients to offer the best quality of content and have the creative freedom to personalize events., keeping costs down, which is mandatory in the current pandemic situation. We knew this was only possible using real-time graphics.", Specht points out.
currently, PTM has a compact television studio in its facilities in the center of Madrid, Equipped with three cameras, a chromatization system, Background screens, Interactive solutions, as well as semi-transparent touch screens. All these elements can be integrated and customized for each individual event.
Graphic and video content is displayed on screens, both real and virtual, along with a live presenter, A professional host or event client representative, with live video streams of participants through Microsoft teams, Skype, Zoom or other similar video conferencing solutions. The final composite video signal is then transmitted to event attendees or the general public..
"We have been working with Ventuz for over ten years and we know how flexible and reliable it is., so it was the natural choice for us when creating Call Studio, as it allows us to easily integrate video streams, Live video input signals and video over IP technologies, as NDI, and combine them with real-time generated 2D and 3D graphics to present live data.", adds Guillermo Plazzola, Ventuz project manager at PTM.
Another key element for his choice in this project has been the interaction "and Ventuz brings us a fantastic set of tools -assures this professional-, from touch screens to external control data using OSC, TUIO, Etc. In addition, It also allows us to control studio lighting using industry standard protocols., as DMX or ArtNET, which is mandatory due to the current situation that requires small technical teams".
The flexibility offered by this system is highlighted by Specht: "We had to include live captioning and hearing-impaired translation for a recent event., and thanks to the flexibility and expandability of Ventuz it was quite easy to integrate it into our platform".
Call Studio TV is already live and has been used in many marketing actions during the last weeks, such as the virtual events of IBM's cybersecurity week or that of the Spanish publisher Anaya to launch its new Social Business books.
Immersive corporate presentations
The basis of this development is based on PTM expertise and advanced interactive hardware., with laser motion sensors, 3D interface and holographic touch projection screens to develop more creative and impactful presentations.
An example of this is Inditex's immersive presentation room in Arteixo (Corunna) developed by PTM, which has a large format interactive display (26×3 metre) to display the company's communication contents, as well as a holographic touch screen.
Also noteworthy is the showroom of the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028 (more data in Digital AV), with the development of a model of this city in 3D on which a mapping is projected, with a 270º surround projection.
