This London area is in a process of development that seeks to become a reference destination for sporting and musical events. As part of this project, a digital transformation has been carried out that has included the installation of more than 150 m2 XD6 displays.
Located in North West London, Wembley Park is currently in a development process that aims to expand its reputation as a destination for world-leading sporting and musical events..
With their 343.982 square meters, is a neighbor of the second largest sports stadium in Europe, that of Wembley, and includes the SSE Arena, 70 shops on the main street, 8.400 new housing and a theatre of 2.000 seats.
The Bobby Moore Bridge
Opened in 1993, Bobby Moore Bridge named after football legend Bobby Moore, and has been an iconic pedestrian entrance to Wembley Stadium and Park, since. Transited by millions of people every year, was designated as an important area for redevelopment. The bridge has been reshaped and turned into a modern digital experience that marks the beginning or end of a journey to Wembley..
Leading this remodeling is the The Light Lab based in London, responsible for management, instalación y fabricación del nuevo cambio de imagen digital.
At the southern and northern ends of the underpass, one hundred square meters of XD6 screen have been used., who are responsible for welcoming pedestrians. A spectacular Led stand, worthy of being an important road to Wembley Stadium.
The roof of the underpass, with diagonal LEDs embedded, from The Light Lab, stays well lit at all hours, for the night departures of the stadium. Walls now feature individually controlled multi-Led pixels, behind laminated and hardened glass, to provide a level of security for those leaving after an event. and, to preserve its history, an area of the original mural has been saved, framed and illuminated on the east side of the underpass.
Absen Led screens, due to its prominent position, function as a source of income for advertisers, present messages to the local community, and showcase local artwork for the millions of passers-by who pass under the bridge each year.
Olympic Way and White Horse Square
The Olympic Way, better known as the Wembley Way, is the road that runs from Wembley Park tube station to Wembley Stadium itself.. Yearly, is toured by millions of excited spectators heading to the stadium and a digital update is required to animate the route.
Quintain also chose Eclipse Digital Media for the digitization of this area, in which several screens of 5,6 meters high to give directional information and key messages to the general public. These were also placed in the White Horse Square.
Screens, designed and installed by UK-based digital signage provider, Astley Signals, assume a set of 16 square meters of Absen XD6 equipment, that wrap around the concrete baseboards. Nearly half of each socket is covered by digital displays.
The content of these is controlled by a multiplatform digital signage software that adjusts the brightness levels depending on the time of day. The ability to sync screens gives Wembley Park the option to create digital experiences by combining the three digital displays in this area.; a feature that was used for nhS recognition.
The Pink Coach and Car Park
With a capacity to 16.500 Squares, This busy, award-winning bright pink car park required digital signage that could communicate parking rules and ever-changing event information to drivers.. For this role, Eclipse Digital Media chose a mix of XD6 and a number of IP65 high-brightness outdoor LCD screens.
In total 10 square meters of Absen Led screens are located inside the lower level staircase, in order to provide information from and during events, for crowd management and also provides a framework for advertising.
“The Wembley Park project is a great example of how Led technology can be used to provide a digital update and modernise the old architecture.”, says Alex Couzins, Head of Brand and Marketing at Absen Europe.
With this project, the most iconic routes and structures of Wembley Park have been modernized..
