Cisco Webex promotes back-to-office security with more sensors and analytics
The company has presented the Workforce of the future report, in which nine out of ten workers want to choose between remote and face-to-face work with the use of smart technology.
The pandemic has changed the demands of the return to the office. According to the report Workforce of the Future just published culm, nine out of ten workers want to have the choice between remote and face-to-face work.
the 56% of respondents demand to continue working collaboratively with videoconferencing and messaging tools, instead of going back to the previous methods (face-to-face calls and meetings). And almost half (45%) believes your company should make the office a safer space against the virus, investing in non-contact technologies and capacity control in rooms.
Whether it's a short return to the office, medium or long term, companies need to optimize their space, address workers' concerns about health measures and interpersonal distancing and communicate policies clearly.
Cisco Webex facilitates with new devices, sensors and analytics these requirements:
More sensors on Webex devices, to ensure a comfortable and safe workplace, integrated sensors collect noise level information, ambient temperature, humidity, air quality and lighting. Thanks to the incorporation of machine learning, helps meet room capacity limits, counting the people present to identify spaces that are unproductive or that exceed their capacity.
New models of Webex Room Navigator, which include all these sensors, settling in or out of the room to facilitate a smart and secure reservation. Indoor model provides social distancing alerts, cleaning schedules, Etc; as well as the possibility to book from inside the room.
The exterior model shows the occupation, automatically changing when you stay free, and can be activated by touch or voice. Both versions include a digital signage mode to transmit relevant corporate information through the screen.
Analytics using Webex Control Hub. Cisco estimates that less than 50% of companies can monitor the use of the rooms, making it difficult to establish proper cleaning times. This system provides such visibility, acting as a scorecard, with statistics and metrics of room usage, including unused reservations, average occupancy of spaces and ambient noise levels.
The video experience for telecommuters also remains critical, since six out of ten Spaniards consulted (the 57%) wants to work remotely eight or more days a month. Cisco Webex optimizes user experience sooner, during and after meetings.
To the AI functionalities to transcribe the meetings or adjust the quality of the video and the audio are added the noise reduction (and optimize the voice of the interlocutor (BabbleLabs) or place the controls in the most appropriate place on the screen.
"The future of work will be hybrid," says Michel Rodríguez., director of collaboration at Cisco Spain-. Our goal is to make the Webex experience much better than in-person interactions, also improving face-to-face meetings through device intelligence. New features boost remote collaboration, while offering a hybrid and intelligent work experience to return to the office safely".
