Madrid's interactive 3D videomapping involves citizens congratulating Christmas

The audiovisual production company Onionlab has been responsible for the design and production of the videomapping on the façade of the Palacio de Cibeles, with which this year it is possible to interact and can be seen in streaming.

With the motto Christmas is back, Feel the magic, the Madrid City Council recreates on the façade of the Palacio de Cibeles a spectacular Christmas card, that this year has as a novelty the interactivity with the citizens and its retransmission in streaming so everyone can see it at home to comply with COVID-19 regulations.

The design and production of this interactive 3D videomapping is in charge of the audiovisual production company Onionlab, which also did so last year with a projection with paintings from the Prado Museum.

Until next time 5 January 2021, with continuous passes between the 18:30 and the 23:00 hours, The videomapping offers five different scenes according to the highlights of the holidays.

Videomapping in the Plaza de la Villa

Another novelty in this year about to end that also adds to the videomapping technique in these holidays is the Plaza de la Villa, former headquarters of the Madrid City Council, with daily passes until the next one 31 December, of 19:00 to 23:00 hours (the day 31 until 22:00H).

In this emblematic Madrid space, on the façade of the Tower of Lujanes, fragments of poems written by classical authors and artists who have formed in some way part of the history of Madrid are projected, that are also combined with Christmas messages.
