canon has strengthened its position in image technology with the signing of Javier Tabernero as the new CEO in Spain and Portugal, who brings more than twenty-eight years of professional career at the head of international companies.
With this designation, Canon wants to drive its growth in digital services and technologies across all its business areas: cameras, commercial printing, digital solutions, image analytics video, industrial products and professional printing, as indicated in its statement.
Javier Tabernero is an Industrial Engineer from the Pontifical University of Comillas, and has a Master's Degree in Economics and Business Management from the University of Navarra (IESE). He has developed his professional career directing large projects in international companies, as Prosegur, with positive financial results and leading strategic alliances.
In addition, has extensive experience in strategic advice for companies such as Everis, CVC, Digital IoT, Alto or Innovatech Advisors, among others, and has been part of different administrative bodies of companies and organizations such as CoESS, ESTA or Aproser, as well as in different chambers of commerce.
In his professional performance, he also highlights the management of agreements with large Spanish and Portuguese multinationals., as Telefónica, Inditex, Iberdrola, Mercadona or Jerónimo Martins.
Canon's new CEO in Spain and Portugal also brings extensive knowledge in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and data systems, areas closely aligned with the future strategy of this company.
