DirectOut and Vivivaldy streamline audio production processes
The union of the technologies of both companies has resulted in ViViD, a service that allows sound professionals to configure remote productions using standard Internet connections.
Following the recent announcement of their collaboration, DirectOut and Vivivaldy have presented ViViD, a customized service that allows audio professionals to set up remote productions using standard Internet connections.
The growing demand for remote interaction from artists and sound engineers has led the two companies to offer a turnkey system to address these applications..
"Before the spread of Covid-19, the demand for remote productions on the Internet already existed, But the pandemic has increased it. In this evolving scenario, ViViD enables audio professionals to achieve this, regardless of their IT skills," says Giaroli Luca, ViViD Manager at DirectOut, brand that distributes SeeSound.
ViViD packages include Vivivaldy VPN solutions combined with Ravenna-compatible DirectOut products, as Prodigy.MP and Exbox.Rav. Ravenna's implementation of DirectOut enables uncompressed streaming audio, over IP, with very low latency or buffer times up to 500 Ms.
Prodigy.MP is used with ViViD and is equipped with microphone preamplifier modules to pick up analog audio signals at artist locations, while the headphone outputs serve to monitor.
Built-in DSP also enables local equalization and mixing with zero latency. Vivivaldy's infrastructure is capable of connecting distant locations and allows them to communicate with latency of less than 15 MS to enable live cross-monitoring.
Exbox.Rav, DirectOut's new Ravenna to MADI converter, Collect transmissions. Audio packets are sent over the network with higher latency to ensure secure and reliable transmission, also ensured by Vivivaldy's relay mechanism.
With globcon control software, All settings can be managed remotely anywhere on the network.
"We see great opportunities in the cooperation between our technologies., each reinforcing the other and allowing our clients to continue working together as if they were all present in the same room or studio.. This is the future, since it is not only about overcoming the limits currently imposed by the pandemic, but also to optimize audio production processes", clarifies Luca Di Chio, founder of Vivivaldy.
