PPDS at Concept-Cycles

The new professional cycling shop Concept-Cycles has been endowed with 17 digital signage solutions that have been installed abroad, to attract the attention of passers-by, and inside, to serve as information points.

PPDS at Concept-CyclesConcept-Cycles Hamburg becomes the world's first bicycle shop to combine the most advanced equipment with a personalized experience pop up, adapted to COVID measures. The store has installed 17 advanced solutions Philips digital signage, interactivity and videowall.

As part of its commitment to support the retail sector, providing innovative solutions that solve problems and improve the experience, PPDS has launched a new digital signage project. This is the installation of Philips professional screens in one of Germany's newest and most advanced cycling shops, Concept-Cycles. In three weeks the ground floor, previously empty and lifeless, has become an interactive space adapted to coVID needs.

Founded in 2013, Concept-Cycles hamburg is the main concept store northern Germany, and offers complete maintenance services, repair and advice for the purchase of bicycles. The showroom 300 square meters houses a wide range of products, road bikes at a professional level, mountain and electric assisted, as well as accessories from some of the most important brands in the industry.

After a recent fire, that has partially reduced its space capacity for a while, Concept-Cycles decided to open a new state-of-the-art showroom near the current, dedicated exclusively to showing the latest bicycles and accessories of the brand Specialized.

PPDS at Concept-CyclesIn order to satisfy current and future customers, wanted the new ‘Specialized Concept Store‘ it would become a prominent space, offering a unique and more tailored customer experience, complying with the strict COVID-19 regulations at the same time.

In collaboration with local company P.O.S. television, AV integration specialist, Concept-Cycles opted for PPDS technology to bring to life the old ground floor of a hotel built in 1910, 100 metres deep.

In just over three weeks, the pop up showroom was endowed with 17 Philips professional screens, from the between 24 and 75 Inch, that have been strategically placed and assembled throughout the store (even on the roof), ensuring maximum visibility and impact.

The installation features high-gloss digital signage screens Philips H-Line, who have settled on the store's facade to capture customers' attention from the outside. These screens are designed for uninterrupted use and capable of displaying content in any light condition.

Inside, a video wall has been mounted, configured with nine screens Philips X-Line of 49 Inch, that offer a 'WOW effect' to customers entering the store, and where informative content is displayed in 4K, managed and controlled entirely remotely. These Philips displays, thanks to PPDS FailOver system, remain always active, with security content and available in case of interruption of the main source.

For customers who want to do an in-store search individually, have digital kiosks, designed with touchscreen Philips T-Line of 24 Inch, that display personalized product information based on customer needs.

PeopleCount

To comply with COVID-19 and reduce potential customer concerns, the store has been equipped with PeopleCount, PPDS's digital solution for input management, that automatically controls and manages the capacity.

Uses smart camera technology and an on-screen traffic light system (Philips D-Line, 43″), to alert customers and staff when it's safe to get in.
