The platform nsign.tv manages the digital communication of Mexico's Cinépolis
The film exhibition chain Cinépolis has selected nsign.tv to manage their digital signage channels in their rooms in Mexico, Brazil and part of the United States.
Cinépolis, Mexico's largest film exhibition company in Latin America, Operates 862 complexes of this kind, with a total of 6.664 rooms in seventeen countries, occupying third place in the world in number of rooms, second place in number of tickets sold and the most sold per room in the world.
This exhibitor has chosen the communication platform nsign.tv to manage its digital signage channels in some of its centers in different countries. A project you are carrying out with the Mexican integrator Stratech (partner in this country of the tech company).
The first phase of the project has in the event of downloading and installing, totally remote. of a total of 1.600 players nsign.tv in their device park of all their resorts in Mexico, Brazil and part of the United States.
Global management project
The origins of this project date back to August 2020, when Cinépolis' marketers were looking for a new communication platform to globally manage their digital signage circuit, until then managed with three different CMSs in their european rooms, Latam and the United States.
“We were tested with a multitude of scenarios and responded quickly and in a tangible way to everything they proposed to us: compatibility of our Player on the full variety of pre-existing screens; creation of Applets tailor-made and integrated with their systems; screen synchronization, overlapping text to videos… There was no request that we did not develop with our platform”, remembers Germán Talon, CTO of nsign.tv.
Cinépolis needed a solution that would allow them to integrate billboard data and movie restoration zone prices automatically. The data to be displayed on the screens, whose fate was the menu boards digital cartels and billboards, should have as their origin the information of their systems, as well as the contents being updated without human intervention, fully automated.
This is how they introduced into their strategy the new concept of intelligent nsign.tv, Applets, micro-applications running from the platform to automatically change and/or update content from an external source, in addition to being used to dynamically change content, saving time and production costs.
One of the custom-made developments for Cinépolis has been the integration of these Applets with the company's internal servers, in order to extract the information automatically via reading files .xml.
After evaluating several platforms, Cinépolis chose nsign.tv for its potency, flexibility, as well as the ability to develop improvements and response speed. That's what they point out from this film exhibition chain: “nsign.tv allows us to do things that the rest of the platforms had told us were impossible to do".
As for the hardware, Cinepolis uses different types of screens in its different cinemas, which translate into a variety of sizes, resolutions and operating systems.
But none of this has been an inconvenience to deploy the platform with all the casuistics in about three weeks and with little intervention from the nsign.tv or Stratch technical team, because the customer himself carried out the migration autonomously after being instructed in the use of this platform.
