Pi module improves the 3D engine and provides more virtual functions in Kinetic v4
The Kinetic Module v4 media server solution Modulo Pi presents in this version a renewed user interface, improved 3D engine and more capabilities for virtual productions.
The Media Server Solutions Specialist Modulo Pi has announced the official and immediate launch of Kinetic V4 module, that brings in its renewed design more icons, optimized views, timelines, nodal programming editor and more, with special attention to the 3D scene viewer to offer users a smooth navigation with the software.
The version 4 Of Kinetic Module is compatible with Notch Block, Apple ProRes of 10 bits and GoPro Cineform of 10 Bit, as well as with the format Lut, enabling creative filters and real-time color gradinge.
Modulo Pi's media server further expands its possibilities for interactivity. With protocol support WebSocket it is now possible to create custom web applications, in addition to interacting with shows created in Modulo Kinetic from a mobile, a touch screen or any other device.
3D scenes
Kinetic V4 module includes numerous improvements to its integrated 3D engine, which allows for a significant improvement in the study and simulation of shows.
The existing internal database of video projectors has been updated to more than 680 References. Projectors can be easily imported into Kinetic Designer module from a csv file. Its distribution in 3D scenes it's much faster and easier thanks to a new cloning and symmetry tool.
Detailed study documentation can be created directly in Modulo Kinetic, so users can add measurements or annotations to 3D scenes and effortlessly export any necessary views and information: snapshots of 3D views, lux and pixel density views with subtitles, pdf list of video projectors, Etc.
The version 4 also improves its rendering with the support of shadows of spotlights and point lights. It is also possible to render the camera, the projector or mesh instance on a layer in the reflection post-reflection timeline, environmental occlusion (SSAO), depth of field (DOF), glow and antialiasing advanced.
Virtual productions
Kinetic V4 module incorporates new features to respond to the needs of virtual and hybrid events in the context of COVID-19. Compatible with green screen and Led screen configurations, these new capabilities are adapted to Pro AV companies that are considering projects Xr.
For green screen productions there is a much improved chroma. Kinetic module supports tracker SteamVR, as well as protocols FreeD and Stype.
It also integrates FreeD calibration for PTZ cameras Panasonic AW-UE100 and AW-UE150, as well as post calibration and intrinsic calibration of fixed chambers. Added to this is the multi-zoom camera calibration and the scan function for cameras and video projectors in 3D scenes.
