Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales develops HUSAL's surgical imaging project
The University Hospital of Salamanca (HUSAL) has launched during this year the system of integration of surgical imaging in its operating rooms according to the project carried out by Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA).
During the year 2021 the commissioning of the surgical imaging integration system for the Surgical Block of the Salamanca care complex has been carried out. the University Hospital of Salamanca (HUSAL) account, among others, with 25 operating theatres, 863 Beds, 98 day hospital places, 12 obstetrics rooms, 68 functional and functional exploration cabinets 46 dialysis posts.
It was in the operating theatres where Telefónica Audiovisual Services (TSA) has put into operation the integrated platform that will allow the transmission of signals from the twenty-one operating rooms, an obstetrician and a cancer radio, with different levels of integration, all about IP video.
An innovative solution that “will turn the new hospital into a benchmark in the recording, management and dissemination of audiovisual content generated in surgical interventions”. To this end, TSA has relied on Rein Medical, IT provider for medical environments.
Each of the operating rooms has been equipped with computer equipment, Hardware and software stations and touch screens that allow nursing stations to easily control medical equipment and monitors, displaying the various images produced and received by the hospital network in the desired configuration.
Robotic cameras (including those with an atmosphere) they take care of capturing the image of the different operating theatres, while the installed microphone allows the capture of the audio in them.
The endowment is complemented by videoconferencing equipment, audio and coding equipment that will allow you to interact with the outside, as well as sending the various signals to the nursing room in IP, where you can simultaneously view all the signals and select any of the images from the operating rooms and enlarge it for more detail.
The system integrates with all hospital systems, being able to receive data and/or images from HIS, Pacs, medical history, laboratories,... in such a way that any of these sources, whether images or reports, can be routed to existing monitors.
All equipment has been integrated in compliance with specific health standards, to which the training of non-technical clinical staff in the use of the system has been added.
