Equipson gives the LightShark range its own brand identity
By separating multiprotocol control systems from LightShark of the rest of its products, Equipson can better focus on the development of this renowned range of lighting consoles.
The company Equipson, who has participated in the edition of Ise 2021 that ended yesterday its face-to-face and virtual call in Barcelona, has announced that the range of multiprotocol control products for the entertainment industry LightShark will have its own brand identity.
Since its presentation in the market in 2017, LightShark has changed the lighting landscape by offering mid-level products that are not limited by their features.
Like this, control of hardware and software from up to eight universes DMX and more than 4.000 DMX channels is fully integrated across mobiles and tablets, as well as compatibility with third-party computers, as LightShark products work with DMX lighting protocols and Artnet, as well as with any operating system (Android, Linux, Windows and macOS).
Very easy to use, the range includes three products: LS-1, which includes a hardware console with assignable faders and rotary controls; LS-Core, more affordable and with the same lighting control software and processing hardware but without the console, and LS-Wing, an open sound control hardware driver (OSC) which can be configured in three different modes to suit different applications.
Equipson originally included LightShark in its range Work Pro, which has a wide variety of products intended for the installation and live sound markets. But as LightShark products have evolved, the company has decided to turn them into an independent brand with its own division, which includes a product development team, sales and marketing.
“LightShark products are so different from any of our other lines that they require an individual R&D approach, sales and marketing -explains Juan José Vila, Equipson CSO-. The range has become incredibly popular, to the point that customers already recognize it as an independent brand, so this movement is a natural progression that formalizes public acceptance and gives it its own identity within the company.”.
From now on, LightShark will have different verticals that fit the specialized needs of the market and with a totally independent staff that will take care of all aspects.
In addition, The LightShark range now includes a powerful new effects engine that allows users to create and synchronize them on multiple parameters, as well as positioning the luminaires on a grid so that the engine can automatically apply the effects at the correct point.
Alejo Cervera, Product Manager, LightShark, notes that “spectacular lighting can make a difference in the success of a show or event, so we wanted to make sure lightshark users had the right tools at their disposal to achieve all their creative ambitions.. Our new FX engine fulfills this ambition”.
As Vila adds, “we have a clear roadmap of developments for the future, which will increase lightshark's range and bring new and even more innovative control products to market. It is a very exciting time for the company and we are looking forward to building on the incredible success that this range has already had.”.
LightShark will now have its own website, where you can find all the information, along with tutorials and end-user case studies that highlight the versatility of this innovative range of control hardware.
In addition, in this web portal there is a site LS-Cloud completely renovated, with a new community membership site for LightShark console owners, with private training events, proceeds, beta testing programs, feature requests and discussion forums, Etc.
