PPDS puts Jeroen Verhaeghe at the forefront of the hospitality market
In his new role as director of the international hospitality business of PPDS, you will be able to work more closely with customers in EMEA and North America, to better understand your needs.
PPDS, announced the promotion of Jeroen Verhaeghe to the position of Director of International Business for the hospitality market (International Business Manager for Hospitality). Known as 'Mr Pro TV, first joined the organization in 1998 and throughout these years he has held different strategic positions. The most recent has been that of International Product Manager of Television Pro, position he has held since 2014 until this new appointment.
Among its challenges is the launch of the philips mediasuite android range of tVs for hospitality in 2019, a product that took more than three years to develop and was one of the best-selling professional TVs in EMEA in 2020, surpassing the 110.000 units.
As part of a new reinforcement to the hospitality team, Jeroen's previous responsibilities, which included the definition of the company's product roadmap, including features, design, screen sizes and collaboration with the R&D team to bring them to market, will be absorbed by a larger team.
“The transformation of the business has been significant, and in my new role I can get closer to the market to understand even better what they need, and translate that information into the creation of better solutions. We can think that we have a good knowledge of the needs of the current market, but complacency is a dangerous thing, which is not accepted here in PPDS", comments Jeroen.
In his new role as Director of International Business for hospitaity, will allow you to work more closely with customers (channel and end users) across EMEA and North America, to better understand your needs.
Based in Ghent, where the PPDS product development and training center is located, Jeroen will report to the Director of International Trade Development (Director International Business Development) of PPDS, Martijn van der Woude.
“Jeroen and his team introduced a truly world-class product with Philips MediaSuite, bringing five-star quality and performance to tens of thousands of hotel rooms worldwide. It would have been easy to simply launch a professional TV to market and tag it for hospitality., but at PPDS we like to do things differently”, explains Martijn van der Woude.
