ClearOne and Crestron simplify PTZ camera control for BMA 360
The new ClearOne for your BMA microphone array ceiling tile 360 Facilitate camera control with Camera Management Systems Crestron.
The AV Communications Solution Provider ClearOne has announced the availability of a new camera control module for the control systems Crestron, Designed to work with your ceiling tile with microphone array BMA 360 and with the system Unite 200.
The new module also works with any other PTZ camera (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) installed in the room or meeting space that complies with the industry-standard Visca control protocol.
The advantages of this module are that it drastically simplifies the configuration of the BMA camera control function 360, with an easy-to-use graphical interface that associates the camera's PTZ presets with BMA's beam reports 360.
When a local partner activates a certain beam on the ceiling panel with BMA microphone array 360, control module retrieves the associated PTZ preset on the camera, to which it adds the return of the camera to the starting position after a period without voice activity.
Formerly, ClearOne provided sample code and command documentation to help Crestron programmers create their own custom camera control modules.
Although this provided Crestron's programmers with maximum flexibility, ClearOne customers were asking for a pre-programmed solution that would cover most camera tracking applications.
The new module developed by ClearOne represents a further step towards the control of up to two PTZ cameras per Crestron module, now available for immediate deployment by AV integrators.
Specifically, It is possible to configure multiple instances of this module to control more than two cameras, which also saves a lot of time and labour costs for BMA camera control applications 360.
The Crestron Pro3 module will be available as a free software download on the ClearOne website next 25 June. Control modules from other popular providers will follow shortly after.
