Powersoft reinforces its T Series with the T902 and T904 amplifiers
The new T902 and T904 amplifiers complete the Powersoft for T Series tours, with which it almost completely replaces its renowned K Series.
With greater possibilities of exit, The two additions to the touring amplifier platform T Series of Powersoft: T902 and T904 virtually replace the legacy audio and power density of the K Series, that the Italian manufacturer introduced to the market eighteen years ago.
With this solid foundation, Powersoft presented at 2019 the T Series, con la que definió “Next-generation specifications for amplifiers in live sound applications”, and with which it established new long-term benchmarks, such as daisy-chained Ethernet connectivity; the Dante audio network; Energy sharing; Enhanced DSP with advanced EQ groups, and Fir filtering for presets.
now, with the introduction of the new T902 and T904 to expand T-Series applications, The manufacturer can cover the requirements of any system deployment, including larger-scale live sound applications.
The T902 model is an amplifier of 2 canals, Specified to supply 4,000W to 2 Ohms, 3.200w to 4 ohms or 1,800w to 8 Ohms, with high rail voltage and peak current at the outputs to power large subwoofers 4 Ohms (as the doubles of 18”) or line sources of 2 and 3 Way.
Thanks to the Integrated DSP, with filters Raised cosine, IRR and Fir, and precision delay, The T902 amplifier is the ideal product to power and control complex arrays of Cardioid subwoofer and line sources of 3 Way.
with 4 canals, T904 amplifier can supply 1,800w to 2 ohms, 2.000w to 4 ohms, or 1.600W to 8 ohms. This model is designed to power Bi-amplified systems, as stage monitors, Point source speakers 2 Tracks and sources of line 2 Way, as well as smaller subwoofers.
Like the rest of the T-Series family, both models have integrated DSP, Dante tickets and live impedance monitoring, in addition to the Active Dampingcontrol Powersoft for cable resistance compensation.
“Most live sound amplifiers have lower voltages for smaller, lower-cost products – Explains Marc Kocks, Powersoft Application Engineering Team Manager-. It is quite common to have a single speaker of 8 ohm per channel, This was an opportunity for our development team to create a very homogeneous range of amplifiers., in which all models can deliver the same high output voltage, so that smaller models can also reproduce Full SPL on 8 ohm“.
As a result,, “Smaller models are more affordable by saving on power supply and output current capacity, while providing a robust feature set for the entire product family. The addition of T902 and T904 to the T Series adds a flexible and reliable element to any live sound system”, Underlines.
