Shanghai Pudong Stadium installs its sound system with DAS Audio

alongside Fluge Audiovisuals, DAS Audio has installed in the stadium Shanghai Pudong a forty-four HQ-212.95-CX sound system, four WR-8826-CX and four others OVI-12-IP54.

El Shanghai Pudong Stadium, home of Shanghai Port Football Club, it is a newly created stadium that has the capacity to 33.765 seats. Its construction began at the beginning of 2018 and ended in October last year, being its exterior design one of the differentiating factors in its execution. However, sound was also an essential part and das audio technology was used for its installation.

The main idea of its conception was to resemble its exterior structure to a container of traditional Chinese porcelain. To carry it out a smooth white metal material was used, which resembles the clarity and softness of porcelain.

Shanghai Pudong Stadium meets all requirements of FIFA's A-level international competitions, being one of the top-notch stadiums in China and the rest of the world. In addition to capacity to host football events, is equipped to open its doors to other types of events, such as esports.

At such a stage, the design and installation of sound and public address system is vitally important, allowing attendees to hear crisply and accurately the locutions and musical interventions, regardless of where they have their locality.

The installation and configuration of sound was commissioned to DAS Audio, that together with Fluge Audiovisuales worked to bring the sound of the enclosure, thanks to the active participation in the design of the installation of its technical director in Asia, German Rodriguez.

For this sound infrastructure have been used 44 HQ-212.95-CX systems, four WR-8826-CX and four others OVI-12-IP54.

The DAS HQ-212.95 solution has been designed for medium and large installations such as pavilions, Stadiums, auditoriums and theatres. Offers tight control over coverage and great power capacity, allowing its use individually or in multi-unit array configurations. The enclosures include state-of-the-art interior and exterior coatings for greater weather resistance and greater durability in extreme conditions.

For its part, the WR-8826-CX incorporates two 6B speakers to reproduce the low frequencies. A compression motor with 1" annular diaphragm is responsible for its treble reproduction. It is designed for the outdoor installation market and offers two levels of protection depending on your location, CX (Covered Exposure) for indoor outdoor or DX installations (Direct Exposure) for direct exposures to inclement weather.

last, the Ovi-12 is a unique and versatile speaker. Can be mounted on walls, recessed into roof structures or suspended. All with the clarity and power of a true two-way system. Including a coaxial speaker 12 Inch, housed in a lightweight polypropylene frame, allows to offer an excellent intelligibility of the word and a complete musical reproduction, in open spaces such as restaurants, discotheques, shops, churches and convention halls.
