Illuminates Avila 2021 creates a large projection canvas in honor of the heroes of the pandemic

with 1.700 m2 of video projection surface, lighting and sound on its wall, Illuminates Avila 2021 has been held again, offering an emotional show performed by Rental SP and Framemov.

After being suspended last year due to COVID-19, the Ávila City Council has re-organized the mapping show, lighting and sound Illuminates Avila, which has had as protagonists the professionals of all the fields that have been, and continue today, in the daily fight against the pandemic, and to society at large.

The show, which was celebrated in the past 20 and 21 of August in six daily passes -with a limited area for 250 people, and other spaces such as the esplanade of the Lienzo Norte Congress and Exhibition Center of the city-, has had specialized companies Rental SP, as the awardee of the project and with Pepe Perez as responsible, and Framemov, as a producer of the content with Jorge Escobar to the front.

This videomapping show has shown the faces of the pandemic: Health, members of security forces and emergency services and all professionals who worked during the confinement, in an act of homage in the form of light, image and sound.

With a surface of ones 1.700 Projection m2 (100 meters wide by 17 long), This year Illuminates Avila has reached the highest level of luminosity to date in the projections made on the wall, with 90.000 Lumens.

Video projection

As equipment of the video show, Rental SP has used three laser projectors of 3DLP of the model RZ31 of Panasonic, each with a power of 31.000 lumens in its central part, controlled with the software Resolume sand 7.0.

In addition, an image processor was used ship S3 for video signal management and backup transition, with two servers with graphs of 12 Gbps (one as primary and one as backup) and fiber systems Lightware.

Sound and lighting

The sound equipment was mainly based on the firm's enclosures L'Acoustics, specifically in twelve boxes of the model Kara; twelve bidirectional passive speakers Kiva II and in equal number of subwoofer SB18.

For the audio control has been used the digital mixer S21 of DiGiCo, along with the deployment of two fiber-to-audio systems to transport the signal to the four sound towers.

Twelve beam moving heads Mh 7 of Martin and equal number of Led Wash DTS Nick 1201, along with eight units VL3000 of Vari-lite to realize the frontal texture of the wall have composed the lighting system of the show.

All computers have been managed with the console Chamsys MQ80, and four DMX nodes have been deployed per RJ45 to carry the signal.
