The María Zambrano university campus in Segovia is committed to DAS Audio technology
In the auditorium of the María Zambrano university campus in Segovia, a sound system composed of equipment from the Aero series has been installed, LX, Artec-500 and Action-500 DAS Audio.
The cuniversity ampus María Zambrano de Segovia, belonging to the University of Valladolid, has expanded its facilities with the inauguration of a new building, in which an auditorium / auditorium with capacity for a 400 people seated.
This multifunction space required a multipurpose sound solution so the company in charge of the installation, EMCO of Valladolid, contacted DAS Audio for the realization of the study and sound proposal. For this he had the collaboration of Álvaro Plumed, Engineer of Sound Projects of the company.
The main system is composed of two line arrays located at each end of the stage in L-R configuration. Each of these line arrays is composed of 3 subwoofer LX-118A and 6 Systems Aero 20A suspended below the aforementioned subwoofers.
The possibility of placing each of the elements at the correct angle, allows to offer a very uniform coverage, as well as optimal intelligibility of the word. All the main equipment has the audio control and management system DASnet.
To cover the area immediately adjacent to the stage, two systems have been placed Artec-510A, while to provide the necessary coverage to the participants or performers on stage, are available 2 Monitors Action-M512A. The system is completed with a das digital signal processor DSP-2060A. All system elements are self-powered.
After the start-up of the system, both EMCO technicians responsible for the installation, as the managers of the University Campus of Segovia, have been very satisfied with the result obtained, highlighting the cleanliness of the sound and its uniformity throughout the audience area.
"The cardioid configuration of low-frequency systems, was made by reversing the last system to target the maximum cancellation on stage and at the same time, adapt the maximum radiation axis of the system to the slope of the audience area", comments Álvaro Plumed, DAS Audio Engineer.
