Shure microphones for unrestricted hybrid conferencing

The Microflex Advance MXA710 and MXA910 microphones from Shure have been chosen by the Faculty of Law of Bucerius, in Hamburg (Germany), for your conference spaces and classrooms.

the Faculty of Law of Bucerius, located in the German city of Hamburg, is the first privately funded company in the country, founded in 2000 by the ZEIT Ebelin Foundation and Gerd Bucerius, whose practical orientation, International and research-based institutions have placed it as an exemplary institution for higher education.

With the aim of continuing to meet this standard in the current times of pandemic, the heads of the Faculty of Law of Bucerius chose to use hybrid and digital learning models remotely.

To facilitate this combination of face-to-face teaching, hybrid and remote, while meeting COVID-19 safety guidelines, two conference rooms have been technically modernized, a large auditorium and a smaller space for seminars.

The main requirement was to offer high-quality audio, with end-to-end speech intelligibility and clarity, both for students participating remotely and for instructors in person at the center, giving them the possibility to move freely around the room without having to carry a microphone.

The chosen solution also had to integrate seamlessly with the auditorium and seminar room systems, according to the integration project entrusted to Mediasystem.

In the large conference room, the Mediasystem team installed three linear matrix microphones Shure Microflex Advance MXA710, with a flexible location on the front row tables and on the ceiling. “An AV conferencing environment premium for teachers and students, in which speakers can move freely around the podium area without affecting speech intelligibility for students who are remote”.

As a solution for the smallest seminar room, Mediasystem was based on a ceiling array microphone Microflex Advance MXA610 to ensure mobility in the room and the highest standards of audio quality.

Thanks to integration, visually discreet, of microphones MXA910 lectures and seminars can be held with high quality and without distractions. The installation of both systems was done in a very short time, to which was added its ease of use.
