ePS Nexus: professional sound equipment for fixed installations

The series nexus ePS is made up of three two-way passive cabinets (ePS6, ePS8 and ePS10), as well as the eLS400 subwoofer of 12 inches and the 15" eLS600.

Nexo has presented the new ePS series for professional installation, Composed of three passive cabinets of 2 tracks and two associated subwoofer units. These are the first models in a range offering European engineering for budget-sensitive projects.

Based on 25 years of success with the PS series, Nexo engineers have taken a simple approach to this new range, reducing connection and mounting options, and taking advantage of new controller design and manufacturing techniques.

Designed for fixed installations, ePS Series Brings Up All the Distinctive Features of High-Performance Nexo Appliances, Coverage patterns, Directional control and musical performance in compact trapezoidal wooden enclosures, with IP54 and IP55 certified weathering steel grids.

The ePS range is offered in three point source models with 6, 8 and 10". Each cabinet includes an HF controller of 1,4 "and an LF controller, with Nexo's trademark rotating horn design offering dispersion options to the user.

Presented in Baltic birch plywood, models ePS6, ePS8 and ePS10 offer a sound pressure peak of 125, 128 and 130 Db, respectively.

The ePS6 weighs 7 Kilos, occupies a space of 367×200 x182 mm and has a frequency response of 90 Hz to 20 khz. For its part, the ePS8 weighs 8 Kilos, has a profile of 425x252x227 mm and a frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 khz.

The most powerful of the three models, the ePS 10 dumbbell 14,8 kilos with dimensions of 533x318x283 mm and a frequency response of 70 hz – 20 khz.

The three cabinets are equipped with a wired strip for connection, offering generic screw connectors in/out with a pitch of 2×7 Mm. IP cover protects connectors from moisture in outdoor applications. On each side of the cabinet, two M6 with a pitch of 80 mm and an accessory M10 allow connection to U-bracket, bumper or bolts.

The back of each speaker is equipped with three M6s with a pitch of 70 mm for wall mounting, both horizontally and vertically.

All units are finished in black structural paint (white and all other RAL colors are available on request), with a UV-resistant acoustic fabric stretched over the front grille.

ePS subwoofers

All Nexo speakers are associated with a dedicated subwoofer option, although they are compatible in phase with any model of the manufacturer. In the case of the ePS Series, two compact subwoofers are being launched: the eLS400 of 12 inches and the eLS600 15", that combine with the aesthetics of full-range cabinets.

The eLS400 is a compact 12" installation subwoofer that can be stacked or hung, thanks to its discreet and easy-to-integrate design. With a weight of 14,5 kilos has been conceived as the partner of the cabinets ePS6 and ePS8.

The eLS600 weighs 26,3 kilos and uses a high-excursion 15" driver in a bass-reflex box design, capable of offering a maximum output of 136 Db. It is designed to partner with the ePS8 and ePS10.

The width and height dimensions of the rectangular subwoofers adapt to the main cabinets. A dedicated accessory allows the ePS to be placed under the subwoofer, creating small broadband systems that are visually pleasing.

On all four sides of the cabinet, two M10 accessories connect the eLS600 to the U-mount, ring bolts or dedicated accessories. Unused M10 accessories can be used for additional rigging points, in areas where it is required.

The rear connection is made through two pairs (input/output) of screw terminal blocks, while the included IP cover protects connectors from moisture in outdoor applications.

Systems composed of ePS and eLS elements feature high-quality components familiar to all users of Nexo's premium systems, along with the processing capabilities of amplifiers NXAMPmk2.
