RCF includes a firmware manager and new graphical interface in RDNet 4.1
The version 4.1 of the RDNet network management software from the Italian manufacturer Rcf also includes automatic updates, a beta testing program and a new firmware manager.
Designed to work in a coordinated manner within the ecosystem of the management network RDNet for Rcf, the version 4.1 includes system control tools, a design platform for line array and a complete sound analyzer in a single package.
RDNet provides intuitive management of every device or item connected to the network, both in systems oriented to live events and in fixed installations. The user can control all the DSP settings inside any compatible device, including advanced subwoofer settings, either from a single object or from a group.
This new update has as its main objective to unlink future software and firmware updates, so the user no longer has to do an rdnet installation when updates are available, but they will be automatic, thanks to the integration of RDNet Launcher.
Users can also participate in the RDNet beta testing program; who have the possibility to contribute, check and verify new features, weeks before the official launch.
To do this you have to subscribe to the program by clicking on the section Beta from the drop-down menu (at the top left of the home screen) and, then restart RDNet Launcher.
When it runs for the first time, RDNet Launcher will need an Internet connection to download the software and log in when the software is opened. Thereafter, the program will check for available updates on the network (of software or firmware). It also includes a recovery system that allows you to reload the software in case the files are damaged or cannot be downloaded in full..
The graphical user interface has been improved with new icons and a synoptic table, that improves its readability on small screens and avoids display problems in bright or sunny spaces.
As recommended by RCF, it is best to uninstall earlier versions of RDNet when installing the 4.1. Previous versions can be maintained, assuming there may be incompatibility issues when opening extension files .rdw in the different versions.
